Disc Unknown keeps coming up on the screen

I have a Samsung HT-THX22 DIGITAL HOME CINEMA SYSTEM it has always played every type of dvd. Recently it will not play genuine region 2 discs but it will play blag copies which you would expect to be the other way around, all I keep getting on the screen is disc unknown can you help its driving me bonkers?

Check the dust content on in the m,achine then check your settings to make sure its adjust accordingly

Unknown disc for all region 2 discs for samsung ht-x30

First your DVD player has to reset, by pressing stop and play botton simantaneously, and then try 84269

I have a sumsung dvd home cinema system ht.thx25 when I put a dvd in it says disc unknown but when I put a free dvd in from the newspaper it plays.

Is the disc just a regular disc, not HD or blu ray?
Is the disc a region 1 coded disc?

If it is, the unit should play it fine.

Hello I have a Samsung HT-HTX22 home cinema. It wont play any discs at all, it says Loading then reads no disc or disc error, can any one help. Regards Joe

TThe player does not play this type of dvd disk! only pre-recorded movies and CDs Try hooking Up a player that plays DVD+ and DVD- disks!Hope I was of help!

We Have samsung digital home cinema sytem and a samsung flat screen digital tv. When we go to play a DVD we get disc unknown message. Nothing wrong with the disc they play on other machines. What are we...

Hi,

Haven't fixed it but Samsung said there is most probably a problem with the hard drive. I have engineer coming out on Wednesday.

Samsung home cinema system HT-THX25 Multiregion hacks

Turn on the HT with no DVD. Press the following buttons on the remote: ENTER 8, 4, 2, 6, 9 ENTER
It will turn off. When turned again on it is a region free HT.
