Unfortunately, we live in a disposable society, you can easily find a brand new mac compatible usb floppy drive for under $50.
It would certainly take several hours and spare parts to repair your drive... :(

Regarding the Roland g600, how do I install the usb drive instead of the diskette drive that is there?

The Roland G-600 is a keyboard workstation that was released in the late 1990s, and it was designed to use floppy disks as the primary storage medium for saving and loading data. However, it is possible to replace the floppy disk drive with a USB drive using a third-party upgrade kit.

Here are the general steps to install a USB drive in place of the floppy disk drive on a Roland G-600:

Purchase a third-party upgrade kit that includes a USB drive emulator and installation instructions.
Open the keyboard and locate the floppy disk drive.
Disconnect the floppy disk drive from the motherboard and remove it from the keyboard.
Install the USB drive emulator in the same location as the floppy disk drive, making sure that it is securely attached to the keyboard and connected to the motherboard.
Power on the keyboard and follow the instructions included with the USB drive emulator to configure it for use with the Roland G-600.
After installing the USB drive emulator, you should be able to use USB flash drives to save and load data on the keyboard instead of floppy disks. You may not need to update the keyboard after installing the USB drive, but it is possible that some functionality may be added or improved with a firmware update. Check the manufacturer's website or contact their support team for more information on firmware updates for the Roland G-600.

Need to repair/replace MF355F-3252MG floppy disk drive to Technics SX-PR702M electronic keyboard. Do you have a source?

It may be difficult to find a replacement floppy disk drive for your Technics SX-PR702M electronic keyboard, as floppy disk drives are no longer commonly used in modern computer systems.
One option you could try is to search online marketplaces, such as eBay or Amazon, for a used or refurbished floppy disk drive that is compatible with your keyboard. You may also be able to find a replacement drive through a specialist computer repair shop or electronics store.
Alternatively, you may want to consider upgrading to a more modern form of storage for your keyboards, such as a USB flash drive or a hard drive. These options may offer more capacity and faster data transfer speeds than a floppy disk drive.
I hope this information is helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Bat bios checksum problems solve

Step 1:
Update ASUS BIOS b> Insert bootable floppy disk or USB drive. Copy the updated BIOS file to floppy disk or USB drive.
(Note: BIOS file and boot files should fit on a floppy disk. If the BIOS file is too large to fit with boot files, consider using the EZ Flash method described below.) Insert the motherboard support CD into optical drive. Copy AFUDOS.EXE from CD to a floppy disk or USB drive. Reboot. When the DOS prompt appears, type the following: afudos /i[name of BIOS file]For example, "p4c800b.rom" might be the name of the new BIOS file. "afudos
/ip4c800b.rom" is the command that will install it. Wait. Your monitor will display the update's progress with a series of messages: "Reading file," then "Erasing flash," then "Writing flash." The "writing flash" message will be followed with a percentage counter that tells you how far the write has proceeded. The final message will be
"Verifying flash." DO NOT switch off or reboot at any point in this process or you will ruin your motherboard. After the update is complete, the utility will return to the DOS prompt. Remove your floppy disk and reboot. Enter the BIOS Menu and load "Setup Default." Save and reboot. You're finished. b> Update Using EZ Flash Copy your new BIOS files to a floppy disk or USB drive. Reboot. When the system is at POST, press "Alt" + "F2" to enter EZ-Flash. Alternatively, on late model motherboards you may press "Delete" to enter BIOS setup, then access EZ-Flash from the "Tools" option on the navigation bar. (Select Tools > ASUS EZ Flash 2 > YES) Wait for your system to check current BIOS information. Insert your floppy or USB with the new BIOS file. Select the drive letter with the BIOS update file, then select the file. Wait for your system to check the update file. After the file check is finished, click "Yes" to update your BIOS. Wait. Let the update procedure run until it finishes. Do not switch off or reboot or you will ruin your motherboard. When the update is finished, remove the floppy or USB drive and reboot. Enter the BIOS Menu and load "Setup Default." Reboot. You're finished. b> Update Through the Internet If it isn't installed already, install the ASUS Update utility. You can either download it or use the copy on your motherboard's support CD. Close all Windows applications if any are running. Launch the ASUS Update utility from the Windows desktop by clicking "Start>Programs>ASUS>ASUSUpdate>ASUSUpdate." The "ASUS Update" main window will then appear. Select "Update BIOS" from the "Internet option" drop-down menu. Click "Next." Select the ASUS FTP site nearest you, or choose "Auto Select." Click "Next." From the FTP site, select the BIOS version that you wish to download. Click "Next." Start the update. Wait for it to complete.

I have laptop hp compaq 6710b, it cannot boot completely, when i run HDD diagnosis from setup it passes the three tests successfully,if i boot it with a bootable winxp cd to repair OS, it indicates that...

The hard disk on your laptop is a SATA, which a generic XP install disk doesn't support. You will either have to create a custom XP install disk by adding to it the required drivers as explained here
http://news.softpedia.com/news/Install-Windows-XP-On-SATA-Without-a-Floppy-F6-47807.shtml
or you could load them to an USB stick and when prompted by the install to load external drivers from A you could reassign the A to the USB and load them from there.

Dell Inspiron 8200 won't continue start up

This stop error means that your ntfs file system is corrupt (damage in the file system, bad hard drive data, corrupt SCSI or IDE drivers or a corrupt ntfs.sys file).

How do resovle the problem.
There are two ways,

1, If you still can access Windows, try to disable any backup programs, virus scanning programs or disk defragmenter tools. Try also to run a hardware diagnostics tool to detect any errors your hard drive might have. And run chkdsk /r to detect and repair any file system structural damage.

2, If you are unable to load Windows. Then you should try to access your ntfs partitions by making a ntfs boot disk with NTFS4DOS (freeware). You can download it from http://www.geekswhoknow.com/files/ntfsinst.exe You will need a floppy disk.

After you load the bootable floppy disk onto your damaged system, select either option one (1) or option three (3). If you selected option one (1), type chkdsk /r at the command prompt, and your problem should go away after the disk has been repaired.

Note! Unfortunately there is a chance that your partition is corrupt beyond repair and all of your data is lost. In that case, you need to reformat the partition to be able to use it again.

Does any one have gateway GT5220 Installation disk ?

Create an ASR Floppy Disk loadTOCNode(2, 'summary'); The following steps can create an ASR floppy disk from an ASR backup operation: 1. Format a 1.44 megabyte (MB) floppy disk and insert the disk into the floppy disk drive of the computer. 2. In System Tools, start the Backup program. When the Backup and Restore Wizard is displayed, click Next. 3. Click Restore Files and Settings, and then click Next. 4. In the What to Restore dialog box, select the media that contains the ASR backup. Ensure that the media is inserted. 5. Expand the Automated System Recovery Backup Set that corresponds to the ASR floppy disk that you want to create. 6. Expand the second instance of the drive letter that contains the system files. Expand the Windows_folder/Repair folder. 7. Click the following files from this repair folder: Asr.sif and Asrpnp.sif, and then click Next. 8. At the Completing Backup or Restore Wizard screen, click Advanced. 9. At the Where to Restore screen, set the Restore Files to: dialog box to Single Folder, and then set the Folder Name dialog box to the root of your floppy drive, for example, "A:\". 10. Click Next. The other options in this wizard are optional and do not affect the transfer of files to the floppy disk. When the wizard is finished, the files are copied to the location that you had previously specified. The ASR floppy disk is ready for use in the event of an ASR restore operation.

NOTE: The Asr.sif and Asrpnp.sif files must reside on the root of the floppy disk drive to be used during a ASR restore operation. Starting the Windows Recovery Console loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation'); To start the Windows Recovery Console, use one of the following methods: • Use the Windows Setup floppy disks or the Windows CD-ROM to start your computer. At the "Welcome to Setup" screen, press F10 or press 'R" to repair. After you start the Windows Recovery Console, you receive the following message: Microsoft Windows(R) Recovery Console

The Recovery Console provides system repair and recovery functionality.
Type EXIT to exit the Recovery Console and restart the computer.

1: C:\WINDOWS

Which Windows Installation would you like to log on to
(To cancel, press ENTER)? After you enter the number for the appropriate Windows installation, Windows will then prompt you to enter the Administrator account password.

Note If you use an incorrect password three times, the Windows Recovery Console closes. Also, if the Security Accounts Manager (SAM) database is missing or damaged, you cannot use the Windows Recovery Console because you cannot have correct authentication. After you enter your password and the Windows Recovery Console starts, type exit to restart the computer.

When you use Windows XP Professional, you can set group policies to enable automatic administrative logon.

Use the Winnt32.exe utility with the /cmdcons option to add the Windows Recovery Console to the Windows Startup folder. This procedure requires approximately 7 megabytes (MB) of hard disk space on the system partition to hold the Cmdcons folder and files.
