I have TOMTOM ONE XL. Lost Pin code and can't reset it. Don't have original computer that I set it up with. How do I unlock the GPS?

There is option to reset the set to its factory settings. Reset factory setting ikon [ a red round ikon with counter clockwise ringed arrow. Tap this to reset your TomTom XL. For more details, go to the page [36] of its user manual. All proceedings are described there. OK.

Going back to the security location will unlock the unit but in order to reset the pin code, the original pin code must be input.
To unlock the unit, it must be sent back to Garmin.

There should be a small button behind the headphone connector above the memory card slot. Use a small object (small screwdriver, clothing pin, toothpick, etc) and press down on it.

try hitting the reset button with a pin for about 15 seconds (this is located near the memory card slot) switch on to see if it boots up then install the latest updates from tomtom home, good luck

To reset your TomTom device, do the following:

1. Check that the battery is charged properly.
   Charge your device for at least 2 hours before trying to turn it on again. Make sure the charging light on your device is on.
   
   
2. Remove the SD card
   If your device uses an SD card, remove it.
   
   
3. Reset your device.
   Use a straightened paper clip, or something similar, to push the reset button for 15 seconds. See the pictures below for where to find the reset button.
   
   
4. Turn your device on.
   Press the On/off button for at least 5 seconds.
   
   
5. Insert the SD card
   If your device uses an SD card, insert the SD card.

To reset your ONE XL, use a straightened paper clip, or something similar, to push the reset button. The reset button is next to the memory card slot, on the bottom of your ONE XL. Then turn your ONE XL on it will be back to it's factory settings.

If you don’t know what the 4 digit password is you will have to reset the unit. This will clear all saved information.
