HP Pavilion dv6000 OS(s)

I recently purchased another spare notebook and the partition on the HD which held the device drivers and the OS (shipped with Vista Home Premium) was wiped clean and Vista Enterprise was put on.

My questions are as follows:

Am I able to obtain a free copy of Vista Home Premium if need be?
I would like Vista Ultimate and am sure I can get ahold of the DVD but will the product key on the bottom of my unit work with Vista Ultimate or only Home Premium?

I can run pretty much any OS as this is an extremely upgraded machine right now.

The product key on the label on the bottom of the laptop will only work for the version of Windows that was installed on that laptop.
You can purchase an upgrade Windows Vista Ultimate and to use in conjunction with the existing Vista Home Premium.

I have HP Pavilion dv6000 webcam does not work.

Check to make sure the device is installed. Go to your device manager by doing the following:

start | run
devmgmt.msc

Under Imaging Devices, check to make sure you have the entry:

HP pavilion webcam

This is the first test to make sure the device is actually present in your DV6000

When i start my hp pavilion dv6000 it reboot again and again.it give message (PXE-E61 media test failure, check cable) and another (PXE-MOF: exiting PXE ROM) plz solve my problem

The DV6000 series units come with SATA Hard Drives and are apted to go south now and then.!
Before replacing the HD I would clear the CMOS and check HD thru BIOS utility.
This utility will in most cases take about 1hr. if you have a standard size HD. Longer if larger, anyway, it will tell you before you start and if the dive fails, you will know soon enough. This sounds like a boot partition problem in your HD but you have 2, 1 in the front and 1 at the end, that may just be corrupt.
If you have not formated drive since you have purchased the unit, you may still be able to re-install from the restoration partition.
If not you will have to replace hard drive and install from restoration disks. HP offers these disks for the 6000 series units for about $15.00 US
You will have to update your BIOS if you have not done so already. You can check to verison by hitting F10 at first screen.
P.S. SATA drives are cheep enough about $60-85 depending upon size.
Take care Good Luck

Compaq CQ100ee audio problem with xp

Go to the HP Support site. There, find drivers for your model. Choose the OS. Did you install XP? Choose and then download all the drivers you need. I find this really helpful myself.

Or go to the device manufacturer's website and search for the drivers there.

HP pavilion dv6000 laptop

Were you offered any chance to back up settings and files?
Upgrading Win is normally pretty safe with more than one opportunity to save the previous version & setup and/or a restore opportunity.
I doubt your files have been overwritten; they are probably still present unless you were offered and opted for, a reformat of your HD.
There is probably a D: partition on your drive; it may be hidden, but gain access to it to see if you have a recent folder that refers to the previous installation.
