Alpine PDX 1.1000 low power output - sub not loud

This happens when I try to run both amps. The 4.150 has less power going to it because the output to the components in the front is reduced a little, but still puts out good power to run the comonents. But I also tried running the 1.1000 by itself and it still puts out very littel power. I also connected outside the vehicle directly to the battery and it still has very low output.



By the way, the 4.150 amp produces great output and beautiful sound on it's own and works like a champ.

When you refer to the switch by the level control I assume you are talking about input voltage switch which has two settings .1V-1.0V or 1.0V-8.0V. Mine is set to 1.0V-8.0V. I did not try the lower setting becuase my head unit puts out 4.0V to the pre-amp outputs. I don't know how to check for a short in the input voltage selctor switch. I suppose I will have to have send this back to sonicelectronix. I found the solution. The problem is the alpine documentation. Even though it says to set the input voltage switch to match the voltage of the RCA outs (which for my head unit are 4V), the amp only worked when I set the voltage switch to 0.1-1.0 volts).
