Fridge works fine on shore power. When turn gas

Dometic fridge works fine when trailer connected to land line. When turn gas off for travel, contents in freezer thaw which implies to me DC isn't kicking in. If leave gas on while traveling freezer stays frozen. Only light working on the panel is the on/off light.

What model fridge? Sound like you have a bad 12 volt heat element or there is a possibility the board is bad but the likely is the heat element.
You can remove the cover on the circuit board and unplug the 12 volt element. Do an Ohms reading on the element. Should be 35-35 Ohms. If that is ok Turn the fridge on and with a VOM check for 12 volt power on the terminals the heat element was plugged into. If there is no power the board is bad. There is also a possibility the upper board is bad. I would start with the lower circuit board. Check for power at the heat element terminals if you have power there then I would say you need to replace the heat element. The heat element is mounted in the boiler tube and just slides uo to remove it. Good luck

Trailer is plugged in and refrigerator is on auto. Refrigerator works. But when you unplug the trailer the gas side will not light. And when the trailer is plugged in and the refrigerator is set to gas,...

In order for your fridge to work when your trailer is not pluged in you need a 12 volt power source, You might have a bad battery or your positive or negative cables are not connected properly. Or a bad connection in the back of the fridge. Check the fuse?

Dometic refrigerator RM 2652 is not working

The fridge needs a 12 volt DC source to operate properly, which should be connected at the back of the fridge, outside behind cover. Check all fuses in your fuse panel as well. The upper controls are powered by 12 volt DC system, and that's what tells the fridge what to do.. (battery or converter)

Just bought a tent trailer with a Dometic Fridge.

You need to make sure that you follow the manufacturer's recommendations for using the unit with each specific power source. It's important that you have the all switches in the proper position, based on what power source you're using.

Here's the manual for your model, save a copy and print it out and take some time to review the section #3 Operating Instructions on page 6.

Freezer working, fridge isn't.

It is possible that your cooling unit is failing due to a blockage. The solution used to cool starts at the top of the fridge and works its way to the bottom. If there is a blockage in the cooling unit it could produce the symptom you have explained.

Why is it difficult to light our dometic refrigerator, when using it on propane?

Hi: In my travel trailer I find it is easier to light my Dometic if I bleed the lines by starting my stove top. It uses a lot more gas to get lit and floods the lines with propane. Your fridge uses such a small amount of gas it takes a long time to bleed the line to it. Don't focus on just the oven.... run any propane appliance on the way to it first. I hope this helps, Jeff
