SOURCE: USER MANUAL FOR PENTAX CAMERA

Could someone please tell me what battery is used for the Pentax ESPIO 738S shoot and point camera. I picked it up second hand and it has no manual or accessories. As far as i can tell it needs a lithium battery but i don't know which one or what size. Also if you know of anywhere i can get an electronic copy of the user manual that would be handy aswell.
Thanks for helping with my dilemma.

SOURCE: pentax K1000 camera

Unfortunatly I am in Brazil and not aware on repair services in Mumbai. BUT addressing your question, YES all Pentax mount (bayonet) will fit in K1000. As a matter of fact, this is an extremely reliable and simple camera, assuming you are skillful in manual mode shooting. In the "used" market you can find a lot of bargains suitable to the K1000. Try some oldies (but goldies) Takumar lens.

Asahi Pentax Spotmatic SP jammed shutter

Have the film come to the end of the roll and the camera will not fire, if so rewind the film. Sorry, a shutter is not a self service item. This should be sent in for a CLA.

I am trying to find the value of my 35mm asahi pentax camera by the serial number. is there a site I could go to, to get this info?

Asahi Pentax 35mm cameras are not valuable....most can be purchased on ebay and other similar sites for under $100.

I have an old Asahi Pentax, release lever and shutter are stuck.

The Pentax is a easy fix, maybe.. If you feel comfortable removing the bottom cover, then remove the 3 cross point screws. The battery, if installed will be loose. Looking at the bottom section of the camera, locate the tripod socket. On on side is the battery compartment, the other an L shaped lever. Under the L shaped lever is a brass plate with a slot in it. In that slot is another lever that has a spring going through the end eyelet. Move that lever toward the front of the camera until it latches on the L shaped lever above. Then try the release.

The first thing to try on the X700 is fresh batteries. Clean the battery cap and contacts with a pencil eraser.

How do I know what size lenses to look for?

Hi rlopez117,

Congratulations on the aquisition of such a great vintage camera!

Pentax cameras use a mount known as M42. This means it is a 42 millimeter diamater. You may also find this referred to as the Pentax mount, as Pentax (Asahi Optical) made this popular in the United States. With any camera, any lens you purchase should match the mount of the camera in order to be used together.

Thank you,
