During the rinse and spin cycles when the water pumps out, I get a SUDS alarm and it stops at the end of the spin cycle with a F 2 error.
I have checked the strainer basket and checked the pump, all clear, but the pump is making some noise. When I disassemble the pump the second time, the impeller appeared to be a little further out from the armature than it should and a little evidence of contact on the outside edges of the fins. Likely the source of the noise. I brought the discharge hose out in front of the washer and started a spin cycle, and it started to pump ok, but the flow ceased before it was empty. As I lowered the hose, it continued to drain as long as I did not raise it to the normal height.
It sounds like I need a new pump, but I thought I might see if there is anything I am overlooking.

This code indicates that excessive detergent suds occurred during the cycle. The washer will not be able to spin out water with the excess suds. When "Sd" is displayed, the washer automatically extends the rinse time to remove the excess suds. During this time, the washer pauses the wash action and adds water for additional rinsing. This pause allows the bubbles in the suds to break. This process is necessary and may occur several times to eliminate the suds.
Concentrated detergents labeled 2x and higher will require a small amount of detergent based on load size. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations.
I have the manual for this machine. Under "Code 21" it says the following:
"F21" (Drain Problem)
Select STOP twice to cancel the cycle. Unplug washer or
disconnect power.
Check the following:
Is the drain hose kinked?
Is the drain hose frozen?
Is the drain hose clogged?
Is the drain hose more than 96" (2.4 m) above the floor?
Plug in washer or reconnect power. Re-select cycle and press
START. If the problem remains, call for service.
For "SUDS" code, the following:
"SUD" (Suds Routine)
When excessive suds are detected, a suds routine
automatically starts. This routine removes extra suds and
assures proper rinsing of your garments. "SUD" is displayed
during rinsing to inform you that Suds Routine was activated.
Use only HE (High Efficiency) detergents.
Here is some more information that may help you as well:
"F" Codes other than F20, F21 and F22
Select STOP twice to cancel the cycle. Select DRAIN & SPIN
if there is excessive water in the washer.
Re-select cycle and press START. If the problem remains, call
for service.
I hope this is of some help to you, Please rate and comment, Thank You

Sd is the error code for suds lock. If suds are detected continuously by the pressure switch during the
drain or spin phases, the washer will fill 4 liters of water and during 5 minutes the unit will rest without tumbling, the water will be drained and it will try to spin or drain again. The SD code indicates the possibility of too much detergent being used. Run a rinse and spin cycle to remove detergent residue. Then run a normal cycle without detergent. Items to check if it is occurring at the end of the cycle would be to check the drain line and waste outlet for plugging or kinks and check the wiring harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch and CCU (Central Control Unit). It may be necessary to check and clean the drain pump filter. Best regards, --W/D--
Clean Out your Water pump filter if that is not dirty replace the water pump. f02 is Code for LD Long Drain something is clogging your water drain in the washer or your kids rock or pen got stuck and chewed up the blades on the water pump
We experienced the same thing. I was able to restart and locate the noise to the water pump. After disassembling the water pump found the impeller shaft sliding out. For some reason this shaft will not stay in place. Had to order a complete pump assembly as the electric motor is not available.
Hello there"
Sud
SUDS
LOCK (Overdose of Detergent detected during the Wash Cycle)
The
motor control unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing
the current draw on the drive motor. If "Sud"
is displayed a potential suds lock is detected. This may
signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent,
or excessive suds.
If
too much detergent was used, run the unit through a Rinse/Spin
cycle, then a Normal cycle, without adding any detergent.
This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
Check
the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
Check
Wire Harness connectors to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch,
and Central Control Unit (CCU)
The Sd or 5d indicates that excessive suds are detected by the washer during the drain or spin phases of the cycle. The washer will stop and fill with 4 liters of water and then wait for 5 minutes to allow the suds to dissipate before continuing.
If the suds cannot be reduced or eliminated so that the washer cycle can continue, it may stop and display the F21 (long drain) fault code. After the suds dissipate, you can normally drain the washer and spin out the clothes using a RINSE/DRAIN & SPIN cycle.
Make sure that you are using HE (High Efficiency) detergent in the appropriate amounts to prevent excessive suds in the washer. This should prevent the washer from going into this routine.
And if you still face the same error then probably there is something(coins, socks, dirt, debris, etc) stuck inside the drain filter of your washer. You'll need to check the drain filter. To access the drain filter. To check the drain pump follow these steps:
Unplug the washer to completely disconnect electrical power.
Remove the bottom front service panel as shown in the first image below.
Also check your drain hose for a kink or clog. Check the washer house drain for a clog or restriction. Test the washer to see if it will drain properly.
sounds as if you have a drain issue, most common cause of fault is theres something stuck in the pump housing. remove the lower acess panel(3 screws along the bottom of the forn of unit) youll gain acess to the pump housing, remove the large cover to the "button trap" by uncscrewimg the cover, it will be righthin front of you in the center of machine when cover removed, im sure youll find your blockage within there
advance machine to drain/spin cyce to remove the water.if it doenst drain and just "humms". try removing the lower access panel. just behind it youll find the pump assy unscrew the face and empty the contents (probably lint, baby bock, assorted stuff from pockets)be prpared though the hose above is FILLED with water. Make sure your using HE detergent!!!!!!!!!!
How did you get the pump off and disassemble it?
