We had the same problem with ours--I read on another website that there was a sensor in the door that controls the locking tabs. When the door is open, they should disengage. If they aren't doing so (as ours weren't), I suspect the problem is a faulty sensor on the door.

How do I load ink and toner in hp laserjet 1100

By load the toner, if you mean inserting the toner cartridge. Then i will give you instructions. In laser toner printer, there is toner cartridge, and not ink jet cartridge. In laser toner cartridges, there is a black color toner power and it does have any liquid ink, which ink jet cartridges have.To remove the laser toner cartridge from hp laser jet 1100 printer, its simple. The front door open and old toner cartridge comes out.Just pull the front door towards you. While inserting cartridge. If you have problem, then take note that, sticker side of the cartridge is towards you.On the cartridge there is a rectangle flap, which you hold in your hand. This is meant for holding the cartridge, while removing and inserting cartridge. The stick side will be in your side. There is a green color drum, the drum side will be on opposite site.-------------- Still any problem.Keep updated. But i think that will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

The printer says that there is a cartridge jam and it will not print.

Does it say "cartridge jam" or "jam in cartridge area"?

If it is the latter open the door and remove the jam.
Then press the SELECT button to continue.

Is there something I can clean on my HP Laserjet 2600n. I've done the recalibration and things that are built into the menu system. The colors appear faded, especially red. There's an echo-type of...

Using the REPORTS MENU print the "color supplies status". Make sure everything is good.
Select SYSTEM SETUP. Select PRINT QUALITY. Select CALIBRATE COLOR. Select CALIBRATE NOW.
Check the Transfer Belt(ETB) which is inside the front door. Make sure that it is free of your "racing stripes".
You can use HP TOOLBOX to troubleshoot.
You are using HP cartridges???

When I try to print on HP Color LaserJet 2600n. black color doesn't appear. I changed the cartridge but the problem still. I test the cartridge on another printer and it's ok.

The cartridge is missing contact from the drum to the ground. When this contact is missing, the charge from the the laser exposed areas on the drum cannot disappear and the result is lack of image.
Remove the cartridges and compare the connecting pins of the nest for the black with other nests. One may be bend and loosing it's contact.

Leaves streaks vertically on paper changed cartridge still there. 2600n printer

when you open the front of the print you will see the streaks on the black transfer sheet.

Close the front door half way or until all the cartridge doors open.
You will see the same streaks on the problem cartridge(s) as on the transfer sheet.

Change that particular cartridge, let the printer recalibrate, and presto streaks are gone.

I haven't the manual for this printer color laserJet 2600n series,

document.tlSearch.tx.value=unescape("") s.gif s.gif
HP Color LaserJet 2600n Printer - Installing Print Cartridges When a print cartridge approaches the end of useful life, the control panel displays a message recommending that to order a replacement. The printer can continue to print using the current print cartridge until the control panel displays a message instructing to replace the cartridge. The printer uses four colors and has a different print cartridge for each color: black (K), cyan (C), magenta (M), and yellow (Y). Replace a print cartridge when the printer control panel displays one of the following messages: Replace yellow cartridge, Replace magenta cartridge, Replace cyan cartridge, Replace black cartridge. The control panel display also indicates the color that should be replaced (unless a genuine HP cartridge is not currently installed). Change the print cartridge
  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Open the front door. c00315320.gif CAUTION: Do not place anything on the transfer belt (ETB), which is located on the inside of the front door.
  3. Remove the used print cartridge from the printer. c00315321.gif
  4. Remove the new print cartridge from the bag. Place the used print cartridge in the bag for recycling. c00315322.gif
  5. Grasp both sides of the print cartridge by the blue handles and distribute the toner by gently rocking the print cartridge from front to back. CAUTION: Do not touch the shutter or the surface of the roller. c00315323.gif
  6. Remove the orange shipping locks and the orange shipping tape from the new print cartridge. Discard the shipping tape and shipping locks according to local regulations. c00315324.gif
  7. Align the print cartridge with the tracks inside the printer, and using the handles, insert the print cartridge until it is firmly seated. c00315325.gif
  8. Firmly close the front door. c00315326.gif
  9. Turn on the printer. After a short time, the control panel should display Ready.
NOTE: If a cartridge is in the wrong slot or is the wrong type for the printer, the control panel will display one of the following messages: Incorrect yellow, Incorrect magenta, Incorrect cyan, Incorrect black.
  10. Installation is complete. Place the used print cartridge in the box in which the new cartridge arrived. See the enclosed recycling guide for recycling instructions.
  11. If a non-HP print cartridge is in the printer, check the printer control panel for further instructions.
NOTE: When replacing or changing a black print cartridge, a cleaning page will automatically print. This helps prevent speckles on the front or back of printed documents. A cleaning page can also be generated using the control panel or the HP Toolbox.
