are you sure thats the correct motherboard model number? cause, thats looks an awful lot like the VIA chipset model number, on an ASUS K8V-MX motherboard...

Update Procedure:-

1. Copy the ROM file in a pen drive
2.connect the Pen drive to the usb port of your Motherboard
3. Restart your m/c and press Del Key and Enter Setup
4. Go to ASUS EZ Flash and update the Bios.

Follow the instructions in your manual. Start with section 2.1 on page
2-2 to page 2-8

Ensure that you download the BIOS update from the ASUS Website - nowhere else - and that it is for your exact motherboard model.

I am a bit surprised that they still require you to copy the files to a floppy/USB and boot into DOS. Last time I updated my Phoenix BIOS the utility ran from Windows. But anyway, that seems to still be the procedure for ASUS boards.

You will be able to update your BIOS from asus web site. Just fill in the details and get your update.However a BIOS update should only be done if this message appears during any operation of the PC.............sodeep
