Text caption over picture, need to remove

A text caption was accidentally saved over the picture and need to remove the text. I used the add text function and edit text function and it didn't clear the text from the picture. How can the text be deleted after it's been saved?

You will have to bring up the picture and edit it to take the text off.

Square Black marquis takes up the screen seconds after channel changes. Can't make it go away.

Check your closed-caption settings. You will probably find the TV is set for "text" mode right now. There's usually a single button (may be marked "CC" or "Caption") on the remote control to choose the setting. It's easy to bump the button accidentally and set captions without realizing it. When set for text, the TV blacks out the area where the text would go if there was any. Turning captions to "off" will clear up the mystery.

Black box on top of picture

This sounds like the text function is turned on in the closed captioning part of the menu. If the remote has a separate captioning button press that until captioning and text are off. Otherwise the caption/text settings are in the customer menu. Go into the menu to the captioning options & shut captioning/text off and see if this corrects your problem.

Cannot get closed caption

To view captions or text:
1. Select the desired program. Closed captioned programs are
usually marked in your local TV listing as “CC.”
2. Press CAP/TEXT on the remote repeatedly to select caption or text mode.
3. Press 1/2 on remote to select the caption or text channel.
4. To turn off the closed caption feature, press CAP/TEXT
repeatedly until captions or text no longer display on-screen. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Fixya. Good luck

80% of the picture is black

Ok, if the video is present around the outside of the black box you have a problem with close captioning. It is stuck in either Text 3 or Text 4 mode. The options for close captioning are CC1, CC2, Text 1, Text 2, Text 3 and Text 4 and of course OFF. Apparently the close captioning is stuck on or is not being properly shut off. Better read the owners manual to see if you are missing a step when turning off close caption.

No captions sanyo projection tv

By captions you mean subtitles - this constraint is a feature of your TV and not the projector, If however you mean the menu text for the projector then you sometimes have to select s-vid or composite as the menu text (and the volume level) doesn't appear when you are using Component.

Edit Text on a picture after Adding it

no, text in an image is not saved as text, it is encoded to each pixel that it overwrites.
do not add text in camera, save the images to a hard disk and use a simple image editor, like irfanview http://www.irfanview.com, to do the text overlays, it has undo, you can use irfanview to pixel edit the text set image

Black squares or rectangles over picture

It's the closed captioning. The reason it doesn't go away when you press the "caption" button is because there are four option for closed captioning: Text 1, Text 2, Text 3, and Text 4. The fifth option, which has no designation, is the "off" option. Using the remote, just click on the "caption button until the option has no designation.

Mine was a large black rectangle in the middle of the picture. It's not like Nina3's problem.
