many softwares are still not compatible with Win7....
so the best is to have 3 partitions and use one partition for you safe keep of data and the rest of the 2 partition for XP and Win7...multi-boot....kee using Xp with the current softwares and have win7 for the fun of having it...and keep adding the softwares to Win7 as they keep comming up...

Sounds like software issue, make sure you keep memory available, messaging>menu>goto>folders, check sent and deleted files. Remove any third party software, and may need to do a clear storage to reset software.
