Get my D1780 cordless phone out of silent mode

Press the up-arrow while in stand-by mode, as described on page 4 of the manual.

Press and hold the # button (below 9) to toggle the Silent Mode on or off. When you turn it on, it will prompt you for how long you want the silent mode to last. If you do nothing, the silent mode will be enabled for Always On 5 seconds after you press and hold the # key.

If you turn off the answering system, the silent mode will be disabled.

1. With the phone in standby, press and hold # on any handset. The phone prompts you to select the number of hours (1 - 9 or Always On) that you want it to stay in silent mode.
2. To confirm, press # or just wait about 5 seconds. The phone turns on the answering system and displays Silent Mode On on each handset.
3. After the selected number of hours, the phone automatically exits silent mode. To exit silent mode manually, press and hold # again.

For most Uniden 6.0 cordless phone handsets, you toggle the silent mode on or off by pressing and holding the # key. (When you turn it on, you can then enter a number to set the length of the silent period.)

Please add a comment with the model number of your cordless phone if this doesn't work. I may be able to give you the correct method to exit silent mode for your phone.

Which specific Uniden phone do you have? On the Uniden D1780, pressing the volume down button several times will turn off the ringer. With the phone in Standby, press the volume up button.
A different model, the D2180, has a Do Not Disturb button on the base. Press the button to allow the handsets to ring.

Other models toggle on and off the Silent mode by pressing and holding the # (pound key). I think it takes 3-5 seconds for the key to toggle the mode on or off.

Use the drop-down menu to select DECT phones, if you have one of them. The manuals are listed in alphanumeric order. Ignore the suffix; the manuals are the same even when the phone was sold with more handsets.

Since you didn't specify the model of your Uniden DECT 6.0 system I can only suggest you select it from the list beginning here to download a copy of the manual.

Press and hold the # button. The silent mode instructions begin on page 9 of this manual.

With the phone in Standby hold the # for about 5 seconds on any handset it should then Display 'Silent Mode off'
