Toshiba tecra m2 laptop wont start..

My Laptop wont start no power what so ever..no lights no beeps nothing at all...everthing is connected..could you help please?

There is power from the AC atapter but when i press power button nothing happens...

mine wont start either. i hate this. i have an acer travelmate 3210 and it wont start up. i removed the battery bought a NEW universal adaptor and everything. it turns on for liek 3 seconds and then it turns back off...

Your motherboard is shot. I went through the same thing with my M2. Replacement cost is prohibitive

I've had many problems with my M2, is the engineering rubbish? never could understand how a modern notebook battery/ motherboard could only last 1 year . All this 1 month out of warranty and the machine died completely, i could hear capacitors making all kinds of noise and since then it randomly works for 3 months at a time..never buying a tosh again! It's a shame the machine is light and easy to use..just failure prone.

Might go a Dell simply cos i am typing this on a 10 year old Dell Inspiron 7000 (a time when computers were built to last it seems) with more battery life than any new notebook! ahhhhgggg

My laptop will not turn on and will not charge. The little light on the far left (looks like a plug in cord) is blinking, but the charging light does not come on when I plug the charger in and it will not...

You will need to purchase a new Power Supply Unit if it is not able to start up when it is plugged in the PSU is bad. Replace the unit immediately. I hope this assisted you. You can find them reasonable at Amazon.com this is where I purchase customers units at. Thanks for using FixYa for all you questions. John

I have toshiba tecra m2 when i had install the graphics card driver and restart my laptop the lcd screen disappears (blackens) while the whole system keeps runnig and i am using the correct drivers...

Press F8 Just after you press the power button.
a window will open select safe-mode use the arrow keys to select and hit enter .then safely restore the computer using system restore.or uninstall the graphics Driver from control panel.the drivers that you were going to install was digitally signed?
this thing usually happens when you install an unsigned driver . click her to know hot to use system restore

Tecra M4-S435 Won't Boot

The GPU graphics chip fails a lot in this model. It usually means a motherboard replacement. I've had it fixed 4 times at a cost of $600 each time at a authorized repair center but it reoccurs a year after. The GPU fan doesn't come on enough to cool the graphics chip so it fires or gets unseated.

download win xp sp3 and install .... ur laptop should work and then download and run the "registered" version of Driver Detective ... it should find drivers specifically for YOUR laptop ... that might work ...

Hold down the zero (0) key on the Tecra keyboard whilst turning the power on. You should hear a series of beeps and be presented with a restore menu where you select option 1, 2 or 3 depending on your circumstances.
