While talking suddenly the radio shuts itself off. I have to turn it on again and dial. I've noticed that when the phone is on a charger cord, it will not shut off the radio.

Maybe a shorted speaker causing the power amplifier inside the radio to shut down or a speaker wire shorted to chassis and last the internal amplifier of the radio cd set faulty by itself... set volume to zero power it off take out the radio cd set; remove the speaker iso plug leaving the power plug only in and power it on if necesary turn again the volume down to zero and wait if it keeps turned on it a speaker problem if it shut itself off again then you go for a repair or a new one
When you turn the radio all the way up to max volume does the amp turn off ? you could have a short or a blowen speaker which is making the amp go into protection mode. i would disconnect all speakers then try one speaker by itself and see if you have full sound again... go through this process untill the sound stops again.
I had the same problem and nobody could help. Does your radio just shut off? And trunk lid wont work either? If so its call the k134 relay. Its a dealer only part its like 100$ auto zone and them places cant get it or even know what your talking about, wish ya luck, heres the part # 90 494 163
If you enter the wrong code x (4?) number of times the radio locks
itself out. After one hour you can try again, whether the car has been
on or not. After the one hour interval you get ONE chance to do it right
or it locks up again for one more hour.
The manual specifically tells you how to input the code and you need to
follow those directions to the letter. I thought I had a post here that
explained it in great detail but I've searched and searched and cannot
find it.
Check your wiring. Sounds like you've got a bad ground, or missed a 12v source somewhere. Remember - There is a 12v constant that keeps your radio constantly tied in (so your clock stays correct, etc) and a 12v Ignition/ACC which tells your radio when you've turned the car ON or in ACC mode (which turns the radio on).
If you've mixed the two up, you'd probably get the results you're getting.
Read out one of your radios by holding in the PTT while turning on the radio. It will announce the Frequency. Then press the Monitor Button and it will announce the code. Press the monitor button again, to leave the code set, and then shut off the radio.
On the second radio: Hold in the PTT button while turning on the radio. It will announce the frequency. Use the PTT to get to the number you need to match the first radio. To lock in the setting press the smaller button, known as the Monitor Button.
This will make the radio announce the private line code number. Using the PTT set this to the code number of your first radio, then press the Monitor Button to lock in your code.
Shut the radio off and turn it on again to begin use.
