Nokia 3220 just dead....

I dont know how it happened, but my fone is just switched off, and it doesnt get swtiched on anyhow. i tried putting it on charge, it charged for 3 sec, and then off, giving a sign.. "contact service" can i reinstall the fone software??? if yes, then how..... help me guys.... i want my fone to be alive again.....

Had this unit before and never had a problem, a friend of mine is using it now, the fone is more than 2 years old and still going. With regards to your problem, a software reflash would be the first option

Format user are is not available on this phone by hand so you can only solve your problem or taking it to a nokia center or by flashing it with some 3rd solutions that you can buy over the net. But i already got some of this same with same problem and turn out to be HW problem. This is a big crap from nokia this phone

from your explanation, the problem is from your charger, it is either its making partial contact somewhere or if you have purchased another charger asides the one which originally came with the fone, then it might have been substandard. try using a different charger on your fone or/and your charger on a different fone, this should help you confirm where the problem is from

I forgot the code
hi.. try nokia default code 12345. and if it doesnt work, try to reformat the fone by means of hard formating this is the way to hard format ur nokia n73. switch off the fone first... hold *+3+the answer key... hold it for up to 5 minutes without taking off ur hands,, then look for someone to help u switch on ur fone still dont take away ur hands from the key untilthe fone restarts... then u can now assign a new code for ur fone.. the default code is 12345.. hope this shld solve ur problem..thanks

Cant get the mobil on
man,ur fone will not start cuz the firmware is corrupted probably,like u sed that ur pc went off during upgradtion.. in this case u can only do one thing,u can rush of to ur nearest NOKIA CARE CENTRE and tell the technician to upgrade the fones firmware and dont forget to tell wat exaclty happened to ur fone and how it happened..if the fone is in warranty then the service would be free of cost other wise they will tell u the cost... hope this would solve ur issue and hey PLEASE DO RATE THIS SOLUTION..

Nokia 3220 switches off
Power Switch prob.
maybe just because your phone powerswitch is damage or shortage'
or try to check you phone chassing and the power button, check it if is not press it.

or if you know how to Dismantle your phone open it and try to clean w/ laquer Thinner your phone power switch...
some power switch automatically turns on and off because is dirty or moise w your hand sweats...
much better to bring your phone to yhe nearby CellphoneShop..

Fone wont turn on...
hi.
may i know how many years already you use this fone?
to protect ur battery, u better charge when the battery life become 1% and never on the fone during charge.
and remember, dont switch on the battery charge before the battery full.
if not, the battery will damage and you have to buy a new one.
