My samsung propel a767 will not send/recieve picture messages

Hi, this is a very common problem and it usually happens when you have just brought a phone or if you have changed the sim card for one from another network.

to solve this problem all you need to do is contact your service provider and tell them what phone and that you need the latest mms settings sent to your phone, also ask for internet settings if you are unsure if your settings are correct, your service provider will send the settings via text message these messages will then ask you to press update once you select update it will then store these new settings on your phone.
Your service provider wont charger for this service and the text are free also so its not going to cost you anything, you can also sometimes send the settings to your phone yourself from your service providers web site, how ever not all service providers off this feature so you would need to check.

Once your phone has the new settings you will be able to send and receive mms pictures and videos, the settings will tell your phone the correct format to store and send the mms messages and it will then be all working for you.

Their is no other way of updating your phone without having the settings sent to your phone so try their web site or give them a call if their is no option on their site to send the settings yourself.

DelLogo.fil file is a png file. If you rename it with png extension you can view it.

To send pics you must have MMS activated on your phone number from the service provider. Call up the helpline of the service provider and ask them to activate MMS. Beware, it is very expensive to use MMS, so, ask them about the charges before it is activated.

i had this problem before, and what had happened was that my phone company had accidently messed with my account and didnt allow me to send text or recieve messages, so i would advise you to call your phone company and see if they have something to do with it.

hm i guess the pictures are sent as MMS....i guess u would not have balance...n hence message sendin failed message would ve come!!!!! mms costs u....it is not free

id call at&t and make sure text messaging is on the plan you have. i had the same problem and it turned out they just didnt actually make it part of the plan, even though it was supposed to be.

I have that problem and yea. You need to enable internet it doesnt cost anything but thts all ya do.

This is what I do:

1. Go to Messages
2. Go to Create Message
3. Go to Options
4. Go to Add Attatchement
5. Select File
6. Select Graphics

That should work to send pictures to people.

there is a feature you can get that blocks the sending and receiving of text messages. go to the menu, settings and tools, my account (it will open your internet browser. Don't worry, standard data fees do not apply when accessing your account.) enter the password you set at the activation of your phone, scroll down to features, scroll down some more until you see "my features" if that has text/video block then that's your problem. you can disable this feature, and you should be able to get and send texts. if this does not work then take your phone down to the AT&T store and ask them.

try changing your Multimedia Messaging settings...
