If u r sure about ur ram then the problem is in your motherboard and exactely is in the voltage controller you find it connected with a Cond 6.3v/1000mF in one of his arms.

Continuous beeps might mean NO or BAD Ram !

Try to remove the Ram module you add !

Do you have your manual ?

Try to locate and check settings of DIPs you might set wrong.

Regards.

How to add RAM

Ram comes is strips and needs another slot on the mother board
Take it to a computer repair shop and if the mother board is suitable , the technicians will fit an extra strip
it already has 2 ram strips then you may have to upgrade the laptop

I cannot access my desktop, every time I switch the power on, an alarm came out. What will be the cause of this alarm?

The cause of the alarm is one of the main components needed to start the system.
1st, try reseating RAM. Also try removing all but 1 stick of ram and rotate the remaining sticks to see if it is a defective RAM

Remove all add-on cards leaving just the mother board. It should start with no boards except Video if it is not built-in. Also disconnect all the drives and other peripherals.

Could be a bad power supply. Test all the outputs or replace.

The last item would be the processor.

Best of luck and post if you figure out which is bad.

Loud beeping sound on start up , now will not start up , power ok

First remove the Ram and boot the system without it. If you hear continuous two beeps, then the problem is with the Ram, you need to replace it. If nothing happens, then your cpu or your motherboard is gone. Good luck. Thanks for using FixYa.

I had a 1 gb ram on the my Asus P5VD2-MX mother board and tried adding 2 gb to the 2nd slot but computer alarm sounds. I swapped the 1 gb to the 2nd slot and alarm sounded again?? It seems the 2nd slot...

you put the 2 gb in the first slot(that's the default setting on all motherboards-the biggest memory is in front) then in the second slot the 1 gb after that restart if you get the same sound the remove the battery on the motherboard and put it back to reset the bios after that restart.
