SOURCE: My FN+F6 doesnt keep my screen on the laptop open

Hi,
I think you're trying to output the screen to external monitor right ? So when you press Fn+F6 this will output to external monitor only but if you do it again it will output to both (External and you LCD) and if you repeat the step again you're back to normal.

Change the settings from the display settings panel. (Right click on the desktop and go to display settings)
You should see 2 monitors graphically represented there.
You can make the monitor that is greyed out active by right clicking on the monitor, and selecting active.

Hi, I have a problem with Aspire 5570z The problem with 5570z is this: my Screen is blank with power and sound is on.

Unless the backlight has gone bad, try Fn+F5 and Fn+F6 keys to see if your display returns. Fn+F5 toggles to an external screen; Fn+F6 toggles the backlight on and off.

The screen is really dark

Locate the Fn (Function) key on your keyboard. It may be on the bottom left side with dark blue letters. Locate the two "brightness" keys near the top of the keyboard. These will be in the "F" keys, possibly if F6 and F7. They should have little sun pictures or something similar to indicate brightness. Hold down the Fn key while pressing F7, or whichever "F" key your laptop uses to increase brightness. Tap F7 repeatedly until you reach the desired brightness. Fn must be held down as you continue to tap. Hope this helps.

My notebook Asus W7J BLANK when is turn on

Screen not working
are you able to hear the windows log in?
if you do but no image, most likelly your video card is ruined. overheated or dropped maybe? don't worry is bad but not that bad, there is a way to fix that by a professional.
take it to a computer repair shop and have them check the video card ask if they have a rework station or someone who may. they have to unsolder about 50 pins at the same time get a new card and solder it again.
sometimes they apply heat to it and it will work again but for just a few days maybe weeks but it goes bad again. so replacement is the best option.
I used to charge about 200 bucks but you may be able to ask for a rebate.
do not take it to a major computer store they would tell you there is no repair so you can go in and get a new computer
