Search "gateway e-155c lcd swivel assembly" on google or any other search engine and you will find the part that you need.
You will need to do your own replacement, but that is the part that will fix your problem

I have the same problem and repaired with purchase of a new redesigned hinge. It works beatiful, but patience is the key when taking apart a laptop.

If you're out of warranty, somebody has to open the Laptop and replace the part. The part is available on ebay. Here's a repair guide on how to disassemble a Laptop. Maybe a tech savy friend can do it for you. If you want to pay to have somebody do it for you there are third party Laptop Repair Services.
