My Canon A630 say "Busy"

I have tried to reset my A630, however when I go in to reset my camera to its original settings and press it pops up and says "Busy". It does not change anything.

I have tried it immediately after replacing the batteries and removing and replacing the memory card.

Can you offer me any ideas? Thanks!

Canon PowerShot A630. How do you take the back off the screen of a Canon A630 camera please?

Question edited to add full make and model.
Question moved from Dishwashers to Canon PowerShot A630.

Personally, I would send it to Canon for professional service. It may just be a problem with insufficient battery milliamps.

Reset default camera says busy

Give the camera some time. Don't remove the battery till the reset is done. I hope your battery was charged before you started the reset.
If the battery runs out of power, you must charge it comlpete, before putting it in again. I hope the reset went well. If not only try a reset with a fully charged battery.

Busy message on computer and camera

Try resetting the camera to factory defaults - Here's how:
  • Firstly press the 'menu' button, then the up button above the 'OK' as many times as needed, until you see the top folders are highlighted.

  • Press the right button near the 'OK' until you see the last folder highlighted. You will know this is highlighted when you see the first menu option that says 'Language'. The 3rd one down from that says 'Clear Settings'.

  • Press the down button under the 'OK' until 'Clear Settings' is highlighted, then press the 'OK' button.

  • Scroll up to your choice and press 'OK' to reset your Canon 400D back to default factory settings.
Hope this helps

Need cd-rom software for cannonpower shot a630

first did you google : powershot a630 and drivers ??
second if none pops up, go to www.canon.com than select usa (with other canon site's you have to pay for drivers , select digital cameras, scroll to a630 (if listed) , select your operating system, download, install and enjoy.

if this is to much work , a cartreader may do the trick to upload your images on your pc
