I am a retired engineer of 20 years, and its about a year since i worked on combination washer/dryers but if the heater elements fine and power comes from timer there must be cut out somewhere around where it should warm up, look all round the machine one may be hidden or hard to spot there maybe about 3 one of them one of them could be a trigger device (you can press a button to reset it) that style is a very small cube about the size of a sugar lump with2 spades on it, others look like a small flat oval or round shape the size of a five pence piece with 2 spade wires on them, remove the plug from wall and remove these spades and check the contacts for continuity, you need not remove from machine to do so, no circuit + no heat, replacement item not expensive, thats where to start based on the information given, check the sensors you mention again, it sounds like your so close, good luck and work safe

I HAVE A HOTPOINT AQUARIUS WD62 WASHER DRYER. THE DRYER FAN TURNS ON BUT DOES NOT HAVE ANY HEAT COMING THROUGH, ONLY BLOWING COLD. CAN YOU SUGGEST WHAT NEEDS CHANGING? THANKS - RICHARD S

It will be a faulty thermostat or element more than likely, or a broken wire.
Remove top cover, and you will see the heater manifold over to the right side, there you will see the element and thermostats.
You will need a meter to test them.
Hope this helps.

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail(meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) thatmight need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can tripout or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehaveprograms that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcodeshowing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also bethe fault.

I have a hotpoint aquarius tumbledryer. The drum works but the heaters are not getting hot therefore not drying the clothes. Any ideas?

Check the thermal fuses / sensors mounted on the top exetrior of the heating chamber and also the heating element. Both accessible from the rear of the machine.

My aquairius hotpoint washer dryer wd62 keeps tripping electric why

Remove top cover, and unplug motor, try it, and if it does not trip, then motor is causing prob.
If it still trips, then heater is probably causing problem.
Please rate my advice.
Thanks.

Hotpoint Aquarius wd640p

i am sending you all the possibilities for your problem, check either of these causes ----and than let me know if it is solved----

Power from the house
Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? Check for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers--your dryer uses two fuses or circuit breakers. The dryer could tumble but not heat if only one of the two fuses is blown. If you have circuit breakers, one of the two circuit breakers can trip, even if the two for the dryer are connected.

Heating element
Often a dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuity means the element is bad and you need to replace it--electric heating elements aren't repairable.

Thermal fuse
On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse--which is about an inch long--is usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing. If the fuse has blown, you need to replace it. (You can't re-set it.)

Wiring
A common problem is for the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, to burn and break its connection. Because the dryer can still tumble with partial power, the connection may be only partially defective. You may need to replace both the power cord to the dryer and the terminal block inside the dryer that the wire is attached to.

Hotpoint Aquarius 1200 WD62 (Tumble drying issue).

no the steam from the dryer part comes out of outlet tube the same tube were the water comes out hotpoint washer/dryers use a condensing chamber which allows the steam to cool down a pass through it as water does and through the outlet pipe

Aquarius 1200 wd62 - Dryer not working

Most likely it is some sort of blockage in the vent, although it could be a bad blower. Check the lint filter and vent openings for a blockage.
