Anytime washing machine starts up for spin cycle, it starts humming very loud. Don't think its bearings because noise starts immediately and is the same regardless how fast drum is spinning.

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. More then likely, it is your spin bearing or the drive motor. This is usually the case if the noises occur in spin cycle. The most likely cause is your bearings.
Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. Anytime loud noises are heard, it can almost always be traced back to the drive motor. That is what controls the spinning. Check that and the spin bearing. One of these two are probably your problem. Make sure the washer is level though. Check the suspension.
hello mam for two years you have not used the washer so the bearings may worned out so lubricate the bearings and check the belt should not have any cracks on it,and after lubricating run the machine without loading clothes the observe the noise if seems to be same then change the bearing to change the bearing call the engineer.
The following are the reasons for the drum not spinning :- * Test the lid switch * Test the timer control * Test the centrifugal switch * Test the water level switch * Inspect the motor coupler * Inspect the drive belt (belt drive only) * Inspect under the washer for soot (clutch) * Test the motor * Inspect the pulley * Test the transmission
In the case of loud noises in the machine, the drum bearings might have been damaged and might need a replacement. Also do check the leveling of the machine. Good luck.
The drum/agitator bearings are bad I believe, or the gearbox has been damaged. This is an expensive repair. I would strongly consider buying a new washer. This is a great time to buy appliances since the stores are really competing, and the prices are at their lowest.
My Kenmore front-load washer starts to make the huge noise. The noise happens during the wash cycle, but is mild. During the spin cycle, the noise becomes really loud. It looks like the drum is getting loose and hitting other part of the machine. I checked the drum, and I can sway the drum easily with my hand. So it looks some supporting structure is broken. I don't know if it is easy to open the washer to check what has been broken.
