My HP C7200 printer keeps saying out of paper.

Try disconnecting the printer completely from power and the PC.
Reboot the PC.
Clear any print queues.
Connect everything again and try printing now.

Some printers do not register one or two sheets of paper. Be sure to insert paper all the way in to the paper sensor. Check your tray selector as it may be set for small 4x6 or 8 1/2 x11. If the 4x6 is pushed into the forward position it will not allow access to the full size tray. Try rebooting the printer. If it is still not working correctly, delete the printers drivers and reinstall them.

I have tried to copy a photo on my HP C4600 printer, I put photo under lid in correct place and inserted paper in the correct way yet printer screen keeps coming up paper empty ? what should I do please ? thank you

• reset the printer, reboot the computer, try to print again.
• open up the printer and remove the slivers of paper in it.

Just try to pull the paper fully upto end in the paper tray if it is not accepting thn u have to clean its sensor clean it pad and roller.

Try cleaning the paper rollers with alcol to remove impregnated ink which causes the roillers to become shiny. It is failure to grip the paper that usually causes this. use a plastic pot scourer to gently roughen the platten roller to allow it to grip better.

If you using a mac: After choosing the Photosmart C7200 to print your file on the print preview, change PAPER SIZE to 4x6, then lower down, change from PREVIEW to PAPER TYPE/QUALITY, more options will open underneath, on SOURCE, change from MAIN TRAY to PHOTO TRAY. You should also change the PAPER TYPE to some kind of PHOTO PAPER (whichever one your using, but the standard seems to be HP ADVANCED PHOTO PAPER)

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

C7200 Vista Downloads

You have the choice of downloading the basic driver, full feature software or order a CD with it on it. If you have broadband, you may as well go Full Feature. If you only have dial-up you probably should order the CD. It's like $10.

If you decide to download, click on the file name. On the next page will be the button to "Download Only". When you click it, a small window will open and you should select Save. Another window will open and you will need to choose a place for the file to download to. (Desktop, temp folder, etc. If you want to keep it simple, just choose Desktop.)

After the download is complete, close the download window.

You should uninstall any current printer software on the computer. You should also click on Start>Printers and Faxes, then right-click on your printer icon and select Delete.

Disconnect your data cable from the printer, but leave the power on. Reboot the computer.

When it comes back up, double click the file on the desktop that you downloaded. Do not connect the data cable on the printer until the software prompts you. Once you connect and the computer recognizes it, you're home free. :-)
