Nuwber of rings

Hello Liselitte, we can find many options to find any phone number, whether business or personal; some are free and others are paid (provide more details and supposedly more current) I attach a link that can guide you in your search (particularly I prefer nuwber, it is quite formal to use it in U.S.A.
In those that are paid, you should note that the link where the page comes has the symbol of the padlock or this green (according to the search engine you use) to prevent you from putting your personal data in fake pages.

I give below the step by step procedure for changing the number of rings the phone will sound.
1. Select Menu, Answer Phone is displayed, press
Select.
2. Press until Settings is displayed, press Select.
3. Press to highlight either Ans. & record or
Answer only and press Select.
4. Answer delay is displayed, use or to display
the number of rings you want (0-9 rings or Time
saver) and select Save. Saved will be displayed.
Be aware though that the number of rings needs to be less than your ansaphone service, for BT 1571 this is 5 rings, although more may be possible if you can get BT to change their 1571 for your line.

This happens when the number of rings to answer of the provider voicemail is less than the number of rings to answer that the answer machine is set for. For example: if your provider voicemail rings to answer is set for 3 rings and the answer machine is set for 4 rings then the voicemail answers before the 4th ring, therefore the answer machine will never get a message. I would call the service provider's customer service number and request they increase the rings to answer above the number of rings to answer that the answer machine is set for. If you don't want voicemail to answer any calls(when your line is busy or when the answer machine is turned off) ask your service provider to disable voicemail.

If you have subscribed to Bell Answer, just lift the receiver and dial *94. After the beeps, enter the number of rings you want before it answers. You will hear a double beep, then hang up. Your rings will have been changed to the number you selected. Repeat as required.

i think there is a particular limit. you cannot increase the number of ringing.

Try this... 1. Press Menu/Set 2, 1 2. Press <-- or --> to select Ring Delay, then press Menu/Set 3. Press <-- or --> to select how many times the line rings before the machine answers, then press Menu/Set when you see the desired ring number. 4. Press Stop to exit. Hope this helps.
