Sun roof Asc light blinks and I can't open my sun roof

need service get it?
the channel tracks are bad or broken or dirty.

that is never strange, broken or thermally.
I hate sun roofs most are made with cheesy weak cheap plastic parts. that LOVE TO FAIL. my Jeep is a convertible; vastly better

and always fails (stuck open) when it rains, (murphy;s law)

sure in physics 101 google how materials expand hot.
icing too.fails (packed in ice)
even the car body can expand hot,and does.

sun roof.:
blown fuse
bad wiring or switch to roof
or jammed roof mechanism.
or bad motor.

get the FSM on car, read the sections on each failure/
the tests are there.

turn ignition switch on position for 20 seconds then try to lock and unlock doors.if you have sun roof open sun roof fully then close sun roof fully. then switch off ignition switch then try to start.

may have slipped on the track mechanism and needs adjusted custom car shop may help with this..good luck..

hold the vent button until the roof has "tilted" completely, then hold the open button until the roof has opened completely. the light that reads ASC should now be green and your sunroof should operate normally.

Have you checked the parcel shelf is seated properly as there are micro switches beneath it so the car knows it will not jam the roof as it is lowered?

you have 2 drains in the front that go down the a pillars and dump near the fenders.

The rear usually go down the B pillar or C pillar and out thebottom near the rocker panel.

Blow them out from the top with compressed air and make sure you have air flow at the exits.. Open the roof to see drain holes in the four corners.

check fuse F1.401, 30 amp in central junction box (in truck). Check your owner manual for fuse information.
Headliner must be removed to access motor.

The motor is stripped out. The sun roof might be binding on the sun roof track and the motor is not strong enough to move the roof. I would first replace the sun roof motor if available seperately.
You mihgt have to get the complete assembly because of part availability
