Battery won't charge in phone.

I tried to charge up my wife's phone but the battery will not charge. I even changed out the batteries...problem is still the same. When the phone(Blackberry curve 8310) is plugged into the charger the green LED will come on for a second like it is charging, then come on for a fraction of a second again and then the phone does not charge.

    my phone just wont charge and as soon as i plug it in, it goes right to this red light...iv let the battery sit out for 5 min but that dosnt help...can any one help my problem??

    My blackberry curve says low battery and wont charge the battery even the charger is connected. Tried different chargers and still not charging. Any ideas?

Have you tried a different charger? If not I would suggest stopping by one of your cellular providers stores and having them plug it in to see if it works.

Phone shuts off, turn back on battery shows low. wifes phone does samething. not a battery issue.
Yes it is a battery issue. Take out the battery and spin it on a shiny flat surface. If it spins, even the slightest, that indicates a swollen battery and it won't hold a charge or charge completely.

If the cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

My phone is getting heated even in idle mode,even when it is switched off...even the battery...they are getting cooled,only when battery is taken out from phone...NOKIA E63
Remove the battery for some time and see if the fault repeats when the battery is inserted. If so try to keep it charging till the battery charges fully . If the battery wont charge and the set gets warm then you have a board problem. there can be some component that is short and so drains the battery . IF warranty is applicable refer to Nokia. But do not place charged battery as it might even cause fire.

My wife has a 2003 merc sable 3.0 that won't start. It acts like a low battery but it has a full charge. The starter was replaced 1.5 yr ago. The headlights don't dim when you try to engage the starter....

Before you change the battery:
  1. Charge the battery fully
  2. Discharge the battery fully
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2
If the battery does not reset itself and start lasting longer then you do need to replace it.

If that does not work the phone will require repair of the leads from the charger to the battery or the battery to the phone
