To access the pump, first bail and sponge out any water in the machine's tub. Then tip the machine over on its front, using a heavy blanket or pad to protect the dishwasher's finish. Remove the back service panel. The pump is usually located along the bottom. Good luck!

E21 appears when I turn the dishwasher on what does this mean?

For Bosch dishwashers, the E21 error indicates that there is a problem with the circulation pump. This pump pushes the water through the spray arms. Check for blockages between the motor and the pump or inside the pump. If there is no blockage, the pump probably needs to be replaced. Note: remove the water in the bottom of the dishwasher tub before attempting to access the pump. If the motor and other parts under the tub get wet, the dishwasher could give a flood error when you next use the unit.

Please add a comment with the make and model number for a parts diagram/list. I hope this helps.

Bosch classixx dishwasher sgs43c12 not draining.

The only way to eliminate a pump issue is to actually remove the pump and check it internally, it doesn't take much to block them and also the impellers can come loose, It sound like you are handy with tools so i suggest removing the drain pump and while it's off check the hoses that run to and from the pump for obstructions and make sure the impeller is not loose.

I have a Bosch free standing dishwasher (can't find the model #) that doesn't drain the used water when finished. Are there any diagrams that I can access to check how to remove and check the drain?

just remove the screen from inside you will see a torx screw to the left side of the sump remove it. pull the protective cover of the drain pump impeller. once removed you can see if anything is in the drain. if the impeller seems fine you eithe have a bad drain pump or something is in your drain between the dishwasher and the sink clogged.

Bosch SGS43C12GB dishwasher does not empty

pump has a blockage-mine was a piece of cloth(fibre) that was stopping the pump turning. Fixed in about 10 mins after i had emptied the water.
Disconnect (electrically) the dishwasher and lay on right hand side-undo bottom cover (2 screws) and remove (mind earth strap) Drain pumpcan be removed by unclipping pump elctromagnet (fiddly) and sliding off.
Now study pump body to determine which way to turn to undo. The pump is plastic and held in position by the plastic molded base-The pump spigot needs to be eased over this stop as the pump is turned.
The assembly can now be remoced for examination/replacement.
Replace as reverse-do not forget the polystyrene float that will have come off(probably).
Hope this helps

Trying to access the pump for a SGS43T12GB/08, the Bosh help desk are saying remove a screw once the roraty arm etc has been removed. We cannot see anything, help on how to access the pump would be...

Typical of the Bosch help desk, the instructions given to us related to the previous years model where access was via the filter etc.

Managed to find, on a different website (sorry), a similar problem from 2005 in which you had to access the pump via the plate at the underneath the dishwasher.

Cause of all the problems - a sinle piece of popcorn that had not popped!!

Dishwasher will not fill with water

without a brand or model number its hard to be sure, but some types have a float cut out switch inside the washer. Its on the bottom inside and kind of resembles a plastic mushroom. The top should lift up and down easily. detergent will clog it up and keep it from moving. Just clean all the soap caked on it and move it up and down to see it it pushes a little switch underneath.
