Hello. I need to get into the service mode of the Xerox Phaser 6500, if there is any. Could someone please help?
To enter Service Diagnostics on Xerox Phaser 6500:
1.turn the printer off ;
2.press and hold both the Up and Down arrows and turn the printer on ;
3.when Service Mode and ESS Diag appear on the display, release the buttons. You will need a Service Menu Map to navigate through the menus, they are quite complicated.

A hardware module is used to reset Xerox Phaser 3100 which work as permanent solution. After that you can refill unlimited number of times without any problem. www.nakshatraworld.com, 09713862555

Hi there
That's a ink loader error, due to the 8200 ink stick; to fix it:
- Power down the printer.
- Hold the back button and the info button at the same time, without letting go, power up the printer.
- Keep holding down the buttons until the XEROX logo comes fully to the center of the screen, keep holding for 2 more seconds, then let go. I'll take about a minute or two for the Diagnostic screen to come up, the display will turn blank and black.
- When the Diagnostic screen comes up go to down to the Function or Exercise option, there will be an option that says "clear ISC faults" it'll ask you to press OK to confirm, after you do then you will exit Diagnostics and the printer will reboot.
It should be fine until it happens again. Until all the 8200 ink is gone you will probably be doing this a few more times. Also make sure the 8200 ink is not jammed inside the ink loader, if it is then you have to un-jam it some how.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

The good news is that you don't need any parts.
The oil from the drum is drooling to the right side to the Drum Position Sensor is located.
Remove the right cover. Remove the fan. Loosen the clear plastic cover under that. Clean the sensor and all the wires with very pure Isopropyl or denatured alcohol.
The situation may reoccur every year or so.

There is a snippet on the Xerox website to solve
imaging unit recognition problems, link below.
http://www.support.xerox.com/support/phaser-7760/downloads/engb.html?operatingSystem=winxp&fileLanguage=en_GB
Usually this problem only occurs if the NVRAM has been reset or the engine
board has been replaced without backing up the NVRAM.
You can download the snippet to your printer through Centreware or by
downloading the 'File Downloader' utility from the same page above.
Hope this helps.
