Hi, i have an HP Pavilion dv2000 & it had recent motherboard problems, so I had it repaired in the HP Service Center. They replaced the motherboard & so far, everything was okay until yesterday....

Yes, the GPU is faulty. either replace the systemboard or reflow the GPU. Second option is cheaper and you can do it yourself. There's a link for a diy guide to fix that issue.

Display problem

Regarding this model certain manufacturing defects case--------"The design of these laptops results in overheating. As a result,
several components like wireless, video etc start failing. HP offers a BIOS update which is intended to keep the cooling fan switched on for
longer. However this does not resolve the actual defect in the product." further you can visit this link to learn more about it: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01087277&lc=en&cc=us......sodeep
