You must have a shunt over the jack of the headset. change it or clean it up.

How do i fix the volume because i do not have sound? my tv has no volume/sound. tried turning the tv up and down but still no sound

1 - hi
2 - check the jack for headset
- if you heard any sound with headset = your speakers are burned
3 - if you always use this jack for head set its maybe got problem = when push or pull the headset jack if you hear any sound from speakers your headset socket should change
4 - if you didnt hear any sound from both (speaker and headset) it means your ampilifire should repair

Cannot hear incoming or outgoing callls

1- Probably the problem is with the speaker = change the in-built speaker
OR
2- The problem is with the earphone jack. = Check if a headphone sign is there on the screen. If yes... then connect & remove headphone/ear-set jack into your mobile few times till the headphone sign is gone from the mobile screen.

My headset is grounded

pushing the jack hard may result in some connections pushed way off, and there is no contact to the speaker. Please see the nearest technician.

Enhancement not supported??

It is either Software or Hardware - both solutions below... best of luck

SOFTWARE
Just in case this setting got mixed up, go to menu - tools - settings - general - enhancement - and make sure your default is set to "Headset". If it is already set to "Headset" then it may be a hardware issue...

HARDWARE
The Nokia detects a 2.5mm jack when inserted and defaults to the standard headset mode (sound comes out through the headset but uses the phone speaker). There could be 2 causes to this (1) short in the headset jack or (2) debris in the headset jack that is making a connection between the contacts.
I recommend that you use a "can of air" sprayed directly in the jack to clear any debris. If this does not work, plug in the phone/headset jack that came with it and ensure that it detects it.
If that does not work, it is a short and you should return it or, if it is out of warranty, get someone skilled to replace or disable the jack (only do this is you have no other option -- Nokia won't touch it after you open and solder it).

Nokia E90 Communicator - callers can hear me but I cannot hear

Not certain... but you need to check menu - tools - settings - general - enhancement and make sure your default is set to "headset".
When you plug headphones only (not the headset/mic combo) into the 2.5mm jack, it will go into a headphone mode where you can hear through the headphones but you must speak through the phone microphone - it sounds like it is going into that mode on you. It can only be the setting above or possible a short in the jack (though that doesn't really explain why it is happening only when you receive a call).
If you have 2.5mm headsets (or can pick up a small 3.5 to 2.5 adapter), you can also try having them call you and see if you can hear through the headphones - that would prove it is going into headphone only mode.

Connect head set to sharp lc-26d43u tv

The audio out from those jacks requir amplification and will not drive a head set. Get an inexpensive stereo receiver and run the audio out of your TV to the receiver and use the receiver for your headset.
