I have a Samsung SGH-t629 phone and the power button doesn't work. I took it to a TMobile store to see if I could get it fixed on replaced. Without any warning the customer support rep took out the battery in the phone and now since the off/on button doesn't work, I can't turn the phone back on. While the company is sending me a replacement, that is not my main concern. My main concern is that all my info is on the phone, including family pictures and contacts and I need to get them off this phone. I have a usb data cable and software but without the phone being on, it doesn't see the device. I have been searching online all night to see if there are any codes I can find to turn the phone back on or something I can do. I am pretty tech savvy but it is on computers however I am willing to try anything to get this information. I am really afraid that to take it to a repair shop will either cost me an arm and a leg or they will damage it and I will no longer be able to get a new phone under warranty. So I need help, someone, anyone, please!!
I repeat do not dissasemble the phone. if you dont do it right you will need a new flex cable. those are fragile, and costly. i can fix that phone for you and repair that. e-mail me [email protected]
oh yeah im a phone tech, and i repair these suckers alot.

Did you already disassembled phone? There is a way to power on phone using a clip but you have to have it disassembled.
so disassemble. if like you said problem is on power button you should make a bridge using both sides of the power button and it must power up.
let me know results
Yes. Just make shure that can cross power from one side to the other. Using some kind of material like Cu or something like that or a smal electrican wire. got it?
