The washer stops after it fills with water?

I hope this message finds you well and in good spirit! :) Somehow the website associated my problem with a front load washer? In anycase I have a kenmore elite washer model number 110.26964503 (Heavy Duty.King Size Capacity.QuietPak.3 Speed Motor with 6 Speed Combinations.Ultra Rinse) The washer fills with water and then stops. Sometimes opening lid and dropping it seems to jumpstart it and then it completes washing them. Yesterday it didn't work and we had to empty the water one cup at a time.

Thx Krazytech! You were right! It was the lid switch, all I had to do was tighten the screws on the swicth and it started working... :)

Now I am off to troubleshoot/repair my 3 year old Kenmore dishwasher that just flooded/drained through the first floor to the basement floor! :(

    Please Take Care

My washer want stop filling up and when I should the machine off the water runs in the floor

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire washer, model# FWS833A, will not stop filling. I see that you shut the machine off and the water runs onto the floor. I suggest shutting the water off at the inlet. From there I would contact your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your appliance and determine why the water will not stop filling your washer. Hope this is helpful.

Washer continues to fill and does not stop. is there a level or pressure switch that is problem or something else? Kenmore 80 series

if there is no water leaking from the unit.then stop the washer pull your drain hose up so it is at least as high as the top of the washer make sure not to to take it all the way out of the wall.you should here water draining out of the hose once the water has stopped restart you washer and it should stop filling.if it does not the yes you have a fill valve sensor problem.the drain hose usually always holds some water and during the filling process if the drain hose if very low it will cause the water to start gravity eeding out of the washer that is why raising the hose helps out.i hope this helps your problem.i would like to now how it worked out for you good luck.

The washer doesnt fill up with water but runs after fill up cycle is done then runs normal and stops again when has to fill up what can it be

Somehow your pressure switch is seeing pressure where ther is none. Either you have a faulty water level switch or, more likely, there is a clog in the hose reaching from the side of the tub to the switch. Also check for a clog in the port of the box that the hose connects to. A pin or straightened paper clip is good for clearing clogs.

Kenmore 24632 leaks water from right rear corner

The problem may be attributed to either a leaking water inlet valve, or the associated internal hoses that run from the valve to the dispenser. The following link explains how to access the inside of the washer and/or replace the valve (if required):

Machine stops at rinse cycle and hums

check the setting of the water temp for the rinse cycle. If one of your water supply valves is closed (HOT/COLD) the tub cannot fill with the proper water temp selected. The hum noise you are reporting is associated with the fill solenoid valve located in back of the machine.
Also, I have found the problem to be the screen located in the fill valve clogged with rust and water deposites. Disconnect both water lines and verify the water supply is not restricted.
Hope this helps..
If not, a more thural description of the problem may reveal more clues to assist in troubleshooting.
Thanks and good luck...

Whirlpool Estate Washer will not stop filling.

There is a fill switch that is not being triggered. Find out where that is. The dog hair could be the culprit. This switch is but cutting the tank fill. God Bless John

Kenmore serie 80.does not stop filling water in and does not star

Yeah I've seen that happen a many of times. Take the back of the control panel off and where your load size selector is you'll find a little hose that's suppoed to be attached to the side of it. just reattach it and you'll be back up and running.

Almost all washing machines use a pressure tube that tells the washer when to stop filling with water. If the tube comes off for some reason the washer will never stop filling and that's an instant flood if you don't notice it quick enough. Also a hole or puncture of any kind can be causing ti to never stop filling as well.

Hope this helps

Flooding

Check the water inlet valve (An electromagnet valve, located at the pipe's entrance to the machine. Any obstruction in the valve may mean that it's no longer able to shut off completely when the electricity has been turned off to it. You can easily open the valve and clean it (from scale or other dirt). Be aware you should disconnect the power cable from machine before doing it !!! Good luck!

Kenmore Elite Calypso

"LF" is a "LONG FILL" error. This will occur if water fill time exceeds 10 minutes. I don't know why this would pop up at the end of a cycle. Normally this is associated with filling at the beginning of a cycle. There is also an "FL" error, which is an "OVERFILL" error. This is normally associated with a problem with either the control board or wiring harness. This normally occurs when there is an open circuit between pins 1 and 3 on P17 of the control board. That one is a little more involved and usually requires replacement of the control board, wiring harness, or both. If you, indeed, have an "LF" error I would check your water source coming in. Check your fill hoses for kinks or obstructions, first. Then, turn the water supply off and remove the hoses from the back of the machine. Place one end of each hose inside the wash tub and turn both water supply lines back on to make sure you have good water flow coming through the hoses. Replace the hoses if they show signs of bulging, cracks, leaking and/or restricted water flow. Turn water back off and check the fill valve inlet ports on the back of the washer for accumulations of sediments in the screens. It doesn't take much to restrict water flow. You can clean the screens with a cotton swab. If you check everything and still have problems with the error code popping up, I would replace the fill valve. It's an easier fix and less expensive than a control board. If you decide to replace the valve, it is located under the console on your washer, I believe. It's fairly simple with a couple of screws to remove on the console and a couple of connectors and hoses on the valve to remove. Make sure you unplug the machine and turn off the water supply before attempting. I hope you find this advice helpful. Let me know if this works for you.
