You probably need to open the left cover first, then look for a latch or something to release the top.

The Singer Imperial 7005 does not have a feed dog lever. Instead there is a feed dog cover that gets placed over the needle plate. To remove the cover, raise the needle and presser foot. Open the slide plate, then lift up the front edge (closest to the bobbin) of the cover. Then pull the feed dog cover away from the sewing machine.

Do not attempt to open your machine unless the manual instructs you to do so. Some newer computerized sewing machines require maintenance only in the bobbin area. Trying to open the cover in other areas could break it.

Do you mean taking off the travel cover and flip open the cover? Lift the handle to get it straight up. Press the latch in the center of the top on the front of the cover and let the lid tilt forward as far as it will go. Lift off the carrying case cover (sides and back). Then press the latch again and flip the lid completely down.

The accessory box needs to be accessed by reaching under the detachable work surface and swinging to the left. Then swing the bobbin holder to the rear of the machine. Lift up the work surface and open the lid to the box.

First make sure that the needle is fully up. Then you need to open the hinged front cover and unscrew the needle plate screws. Remove the bobbin. Brush out any lint now. Remove the bobbin case. Then snap the hook retaining arms outwards. Remove the hook cover and hook. Put no more than 2 drops of sewing machine oil on the the case (center right hand side). Then turn the hand wheel until the hook race is in the left position. Replace the hook and then the hook cover. Snap the hook retaining arms back into position. Replace the bobbin case and bobbin. Then replace the stitch plate.

Test the machine on a piece of waste fabric. If the hook keeps jamming, take the machine in for maintenance. The parts that may need to be replaced are the race or the shuttle hook. You can download this manual from the Singer website, link is http://www.singerco.com/accessories/instruction-manuals, type in your manual number only and click search, wait a bit for the screen to build and you'll see a red box with "Free download", click on this and again wait a while as the file is large. It will open as a PDF file, save to your PC and you can then print the document at your leisure and perhaps get it bound in hard covers to keep the manual close at hand.
