Any Brand, Type 371 1.55v. I replaced the same Swiss Army Victorinox Infantry Watch model 241083 specifically with the Energizer 371BPZ Zero Mercury Battery. BTW, the replaced original was also a 371.

Did you have the battery checked to see if it was bad a first? Take it to a Reputable watchrepair , and ask them to CHECK your battery NOT replace it. Alot of times your watch will have a mechanical problem which will make your watch look like it is o.k. once you replace the battery but, two weeks later the watch stops again because the battery has lost enough power to now stop the watch again. Also your watch may have a electrical problem which a battery will not solve the problem. The coil (the orange straight piece in the movement), or the curcit board could be bad. Always have the store check your battery because, if you ask them to change your battety they will no matter if your original battery is good or not.

SOURCE: Watch going in reverse

There is no difference in watch batteries as they are produced by the certain standards. That means you have replaced the right battery.
The simplest solution would be re-replacing the battery. Just take the battery out and leave the watch without battery for 5 minutes, then put the battery back. Make sure the battery is fitted the right way (the + side usually facing up).
If this doesn;t help - let me know.

SOURCE: swiss army stopped

If qz. see previous answer. If it's mechanical and absolutely all the moisture is not eradicated then rust may begin to form and will over time cause damage. So if it's mechanical take it to a watchmaker for servicing asap.

SOURCE: How to remove the back cover of the swiss army

The back will either have a small slot on one edge to pry it off or indentations around the perimeter for a case wrench to unscrew it. Specialized tools are used to avoid scratching the case. You best bet is to take it to a watch shop and let them do it. Most places charge between $3 - $8 to properly do it without damaging the case and they should also change the gasket to maintain water resistance if so equipped. Once you have it open you risk damaging the movement as you change the battery. It's not that it's a tricky procedure but you can easily damage something that will cost a LOT more than $8 to fix if you don't have experience.

SOURCE: Does the Swiss Army Wenger

Yes, it has a Swiss Quartz movement, so a battery is what makes your watch work. Need a new battery? Take it an authorized dealer or other business that has the right tool to open the case. It's not worth ruining an expensive watch just to save a couple of dollars to change the battery.

the Swiss Army watches I have dealt with have all required a Rolex back wrench, it costs in excess of $100.00, they most charge $7.50 to replace the battery and that includes the battery.

Swiss Army watches require a special tool. You will need to call your local jewelers and ask if they do Swiss Army watches as not every jeweler has the tool to do it.

The second hand jumps forward every 5 seconds but the watch still keeps time OK.

You need to replace battery.
Q/A from swiss army website.
Q. How do I know when the battery needs changing?
A. In select models, the battery end-of-life indicator signals that the battery should be replaced within two or three days. When the battery is low, the second hand stands still for 2-4 seconds, and then speeds up to the correct time. This indication will last for approximately one week, and then the timepiece hands stand still.
