If battery is depleted, then no, it will not turn on.

If battery charger is dead, phone won't charge or turn on.
If battery charger cable is broken, tablet won't charge or turn on.

You need to ensure you have a good working charger, and a good cable. Only a known good charger and a known good cable can charge the unit. Borrow or invest in a new charger and cable (they're cheap on eBay).

Only once you know the charger and cable are good can you determine that they are not the problem.

Depending on how old the unit is, it's possible the battery can no longer hold a charge and needs to be replaced. You won't know that though until you first determine the charger and cable you're using are working properly and providing a good charge.

If a battery fails to charge it could be one of two events that occur. Either the Battery is no longer accepting a charge or the charger no longer has the ability to power charge the battery. Try the Battery first...that is usually the one that fails first.

you need a new battery same happen to me, don't go to ebay or amazon.

Three possibilities;
1) You have a dead battery because the battery is no good.
2) You have a dead battery because your Sansa is no longer charging the battery.
3) You have a dead battery because you didn't leave your Sansa tethered long enough to charge it up.

When you have the Sansa c250 tethered to the computer, you should see a tiny yellow lightning bolt flashing, and a battery icon that shows the amount of charge on the battery.

If you see the lightning bolt, but the battery does not charge after being tethered to a working computer or charger for 24 hours, you may need a new battery. You can get one on Amazon.com. Here's a link:

If you see the lightning bolt, and the battery charges after 24 hours, AND your player works when unplugged--Problem solved! You just need to let it charge for a longer time.

If you do not see the lightning bolt when the player is tethered, and the battery indicator shows "empty," It's likely that the internal plug to your Sansa c250 has broken. Your Sansa is no longer able to charge the battery.

If you happen to be an electrical engineer, or otherwise have a shop full of electronics equipment (including signal injector, volt-ohm meter, needle-tip soldering iron, and stereo magnifying goggles with work lamps) you may be able to fix it yourself. Otherwise, forget it-- your Sansa is dead.

If it's still under warranty, try to get it replaced. Failing that, it's time to get a new MP3 player.

ive no idea how long this laptop runs in sleep
and hibernate is longer.
no idea at all.
you do know that the speed features are programmable
right?
including what chips do and do not go to sleep'
like USB ports, WIFI, and all wake on , features. like Ethernet chip.
and more.
why not just turn it off, and let the battery last longer..
this mode sleep kills batteries faster. way faster.
leave it plugged in all the time to the wall pack.
so the battery never drains unless you need to use it, on battery.

If the battery is no longer made by the maker and they can't suggest an equivalent, then the only option is to look around for a second-hand device, or used battery that can still be charged. Otherwise it is time to get a new model.

first you should let it charge when not in use, apple makes there batteries cheaply and the more it hold a charge the longer the battery will last, secondly you can't shut off your ipod nano, sorry, lots of people complained about this, when you press the button it goes into standby mode and still draws power it will turn off after 36 hours of non use. so i recommend that when your ipod is not in use it is plugged in charging. good luck

It could be that this battery is dead and will no longer charge, the cheapest replacements I have found are on Amazon.com

You need a new battery. They are fairly simple to replace and can be purchased for a reasonable price on eBay.
