Why is my Technics sl1200 mk2 platter movings back and forth when I hold it, light on the switch blinks and the lamp wont completely turn off, platter spins with no pitch control at all, what to do?

There would be no way to service your unit, if you live in remote area. There are too many ICs to just guess at one. Anything from a drive ic to a microprocessor(computer inside your technics). You need to be highly tehnical to repair this. Sorry.

I own a SL1200 MKII and when the light "turn on" in the pitch control slider (green LED) the speed is not correct (big dots on platter move slightly) .Could you please give me some tips to solve...

Use the slide on the pitch control to move forward or backward until the dots stay steady. If it is a little old the quartz control won't work as well.

How to remove the wheel on sl1200 turntable

I presume you mean the Platter / the part that spins.
It should just lift off, it is not fastened in any way but does sometimes get stuck.
The best method is to lift the platter by putting your fingers through the holes and then tap the spindle with a small hammer or the end of a decent sized screwdriver - this usually releases it.

Has anyone else had the problem with their 1200 technics, where the turntable doesnt spin,it judders back and forth??

1, The regulator circuit has failed, usually transistors Q2, Q3 and zener diode D3.

OR

2, The drive I.C (I.C101 / AN6675) has failed, this can be natural failure but also can happen if the deck is turned on and started with the platter removed.

No Power to turntable

Why not try replacing the whole power chord with new one instead of just changing the fuse ( but you will have to splice the two wire lines at the end of your turntable console if not to resolder it, and be sure to properly mask it with an electrical tape to avoid electrical hazard/shock to anyone... ;-)

Record player belt

Scott, the belt wraps around the bottom of the turntable platter, then put the platter back on your turntable, and you'll have to pinch back a section of the belt and wrap around the brass motor spindle. That's pretty much it!

Good luck.

Technics SL1200 MK II Speed problem

this one happend to me!! try taking the plastic cover off, under the platter and removing the screws that hold it on if that cures it its because what you ll find is that the screws just catch the underneath of the platter as it rotates. happy mixing

Turntable pitch control problem

sounds like the pitch needs replacing or tighting. Get them serviced. Ask your equipment supplier shop. Good way to check the decks are in sync is to place the pitch on each marked seting ie 0 / 2/ 4/etc making sure both decks are set to the same pitch adjustment speed. Look at the light from the on/off switch and check the 4x circles on the deck platter and make sure they are the same as each other. If you never used this before. set your eyes and pay attention, you will notice the pattern. I mix this way to get tunes roughly in time without listerning to the track - DJ EZ helped me with this years ago. peace DJ Nyce
