My duet Washer is about 4 years old, After doing a heavy load I heard a noise in the spin cycle, Ever since that the Bowl inside does not spin proper its like its off balance, I would like to know if there is a track band that could have came off and how can I check it,I am pretty mechanical
If it was from a heavy load more than likely 2 screws came off of the tripod on the back of the metal basket.
take of the front lower panel of the washer and clean out the drain pump, if the screws came out they should be in there. to actually fix the problem you would have to take the entire tub assembly out and apart to get to the baskside of themetal basket.
but in general, its not that hard to fix if you are mechanical savvy. i fixed mine myself and im a 27 yo female who has never looked inside a washer before this experience.
Hi,
When my washer did that, I found that the shocks that hold the tub were bad...
Check out this tip I wrote about the noise and vibration that front load washers can make..

i only notice this noise during spin cycle and it sound like its comming from the lower rear of the washing machine
I have the same problem with my washer and it is also about 4 years old. I am wondering if I should pay someone to come and try to repair or just buy a new one???
The Stainless Steel Tub seems to be disingaged From the outer tub, And will not spin, I took the bottom off and drained the Water but no screws came out I also took the back off the main drive and pully belt seem to be intact
i have had the same problem, or similar, mine was leaking water, i took off the bottom and found that the outer tub had a whole, the metal basket rubbed a whole in it. to find out if the legs of the tripod on the back of the basket are broken or corroded, which is what was wrong with mine, open the front door, inside the drum you will see 3 agitators, those are aligned to the legs on the tripod. turn the basket till one of those legs are at the top, grab the try to push the basket up towrd the rim of white outer tub. (it shouldnt move, or very little), repeat with each leg. if one moves more than the others that should be the broken leg. you wont be able to actually see the problem unless you take the whole tub assembly apart.
