Error
Code: 51420
The Wii console is
not able to connect to your wired router or modem.
If your connection worked previously, check to see if there is a Wii
System Update that you have not aquired. To get the latest Wii System
Update:
From the Wii's main menu, select the Wii icon along the bottom left
of the screen.
Select "Wii Settings".
Click the left arrow to get to Wii System Settings 3
Choose "Wii System Update"
Choose "Yes" to connect to the internet and perform a Wii system
update.
Make sure that you are using the Wii LAN Adapter made by Nintendo (click here for a picture and connection steps). LAN
adapters not made by Nintendo likely will not work with the Wii
console.
Check to make sure you are not running the Wii LAN Adapter from a
USB hub (a device that connects multiple USB products through a single
device), as this will likely not work. Connect the USB Connector
directly to the modem or router.
Ensure that the Wii LAN Adapter setup is correct, and that the Wii
LAN Adapter was connected with the console turned off. For step by step
connection instructions, please click
here.
Check to see if the ethernet cable you are using is not working
properly, by connecting another ethernet cable from your router/modem to
the Wii LAN Adapter. If the connection works using a different cable,
then the problem was with the first cable.

51130This is a General Troubleshooting error code and does not have any one specific cause. You'll need to try the following steps to try to solve the problem.
1. Your wireless router sends out an internet signal using a specific "channel" (much like a radio broadcasts over the airwaves). You can change the "channel" that your wireless router uses to broadcast the internet signal manually. Nintendo suggests setting your wireless router to either channel 1 or 11, as these are supposed to be the fastest channels for download speed. The Nintendo website has a guide that shows you how to change the channel on your wireless router. https://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc/en_na/routers/index.jsp
2. In addition to the broadcasting channel, there is also a broadcast setting. This can be set to either "G", "B", or "Mixed." Nintendo suggests that the "Mixed" setting gives the best network connection, but you might need to try all three settings to get the best network connection.
3. Home appliances and other devices that are near to your console, like microwaves and cordless phones, might cause interference with your wireless network connection, so try turning these off. Other wireless devices like keyboards and computer mice can also interfere with your network connection.

Error Code: 204038
The Wii console was unable to connect to the Wii Shop Channel.
Check for wireless interference, which can affect the signal strength to the Wii console. To help minimize wireless interference, try the following:
Make sure other wireless devices such as cordless phones or wireless speakers are turned off, and that the Wii console is an open area without objects or electronics blocking the signal. (For instance, if the Wii is placed in a crowded entertainment center, try moving the Wii somewhere with more room.)
Change your router's channel setting to 1 or 11. By default, most routers broadcast on channel 6, which overlaps with other channels and may be weaker. For help doing this, click here and select your router brand and model (if available). The information you need is found in the "Broadcast Channel:" area.
There could be a temporary network issue with Nintendo's servers. Please wait a few hours and try to access the Internet Channel again.

Try changing the channel on your wireless router to channel 1 or channel 11 which can increase download speeds. The error means your wii encountered a connection error whilst downloading the update from nintendo, this could be your internet connection, or too many people on nintendo servers
Try changing the
channel of your wireless router to either channel 1 or channel 11 which
can increase download speeds. Be sure to test both channels to see which
works better or faster.
Set broadcast settings on your router to
"Mixed." This usually produces the best results. If not, trying setting
your router to "G" or "B" to test which works best.
The Wii could be unable to connect to Nintendo's servers.
Any time I have tried to download from Nintendo Shopping channel, I have gotten an error for one of a few reasons. 1. No Internet Connection. 2. Slow Connection, 3. Connection Drop. or 4. operating system error.
If you provide the error code or look it up on Nintendos website, it usually gives your some hints to fix your issue.
However, here are the most common: 1. This is usually because the WII console is not connecting to the router or getting an IP address. If could also mean your router has lost its connection to the internet (easily checked with any other computer).
2. This is usually due to congestion (per Nintendo) in your area. They say to try changing your channel for the router. I think Nintendo recommends 6 or 11 but it depends on how many people in near you use wireless.
3. This can be a number of things. This time of year, you typically have problems accessing/downloading things from Nintendo just because a lot of people are trying. However, I have wireless N and the WII is wireless G; I have found that sometimes causes drops. Wireless N is constantly trying to get the best signal and sometimes changes channels (at least mine does), this can cause G to drop sometimes. I went to a wired solution, it helps in online play.
4. I have not seen this one of late. But when WII first came out, an update disabled WII connect and Nintendo had to replace the unit.
