When you thaw or let the ice melt, make sure all the vents between the freezer(upper compartment) and refrigerator(lower compartment) are clear of ice or obstructions. This is very important! Make sure all vent ducts and tubes are clear of ice!!! Next Level the unit front to back and side to side. Make sure the refrigerator is level. When level the doors should close without assistance. It is normal for water build up and dripping sound in the fridge do to condensation, the air vents and an evaporation pan located behind the cover in the rear of the freezer will eliminate the water if unit is properly leveled. I had the same problem, then i read the user manual. this will also eliminate all the water in the lower compartment.

Samsung is not defrosting.

It will either be a fault with the Defrost Timer, or the Defrost Heater. Samsung have a different approach

If the defrost sensor fails to shut off the defrost heater, the fuse will blow in order to shut off the defrost heater. If the defrost sensor fuse blows, the defrost system will not work, and the refrigerator will not defrost. ... If either the defrost sensor or fuse does not have continuity, replace the defrost sensor.

Samsung french door refrigerator ice maker no dispenser defroster leaking water into bottom and produce drawers

If it is a frost free unit the water collects in a well at the compressor , there is a heater element in the well that boils off the water , this is were the fault is.

I have a Samsung French door fridge that has a problem with ice building up inside the back wall of the firdge and water accumulating under the crisper drawers. We have been unpluggint he fridge...

Access is from the rear, but make sure the vents on the front grill are not clogged also because it does need front to rear air flow.

Your unit has two evaporator coils and two defrost heaters and two defrost thermostats, but uses one defrost timer circuit. So if you don't have trouble with the freezer side, then it should be the defrost heater or defrost thermostat for the refrigerator side of your unit. Which are items 1-2 and 1-4 on the following diagram.

My samsung refrigerator is building ice in both cabinets.the fan works ,the heater is also good.what i can't test is the end defrost relay. what do you propose me how to test and resolve my problem?

Here's a link to a very good explanation of the defrost circuit. You can check the defrost terminator by disconnecting it and measuring with an ohm meter. The relay contacts can be checked with the ohm meter if you unplug the fridge and manually advance the timer. The motor and and other parts will be checked with a volt meter at different points in the cycle with the fridge paoered up and running. If you're building up ice, there's an issue with the defroster circuit - or the defrost drain tube is clogged with ice.

If the defrost circuit is working and tube is clogged with ice - thaw it out. Hang an aluminum or copper wire from the defrost heater into the drain tube. Make sure the wire hangs slightly further into the tube than the ice formed inside. This wire will help conduct heat during defrost mode down into the tube and help prevent ice from forming.

If this was helpful, please rate it "4 thumbs up". Thanks!

Samsung RS21WCNS refrigerator is defrosting on its own is this normal?

All newer refrigerators have a defrost assembly, but you shouldn't notice it defrosting your food, it should just come on for awhile and then kick off.

If the freezer is defrosting your food then there is a problem.
