You may be right about the threading, but there are other reasons. First, OLD thread, it will be knotted and will break. Needle old/bent/blunt. Incorrect tension , and needle size and correct thread for the material sewn. The same thread in bobbin and top thread must be the same. Tangled threads, fluff under feed plate,or in bobbin section. Hope you can work this out. :-)
Be sure to install a brand new needle and that it is facing the correct direction.
Remove the top thread from the machine.
ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning. Verify the thread path is correct.
Set the tgp tension to the midway point.
If thread is breaking, it usually means it is threaded incorrectly--either you have missed a thread guide or have it looped somewhere it shouldn't be. The tension could also be too tight on that one thread.
RAISE the presser foot BEFORE threading!
Be sure you are threading each thread in the ORDER described in the owner's manual. Most machines are threaded in this order: 2nd thread from the right (upper looper), last thread on right (lower looper (this thread must cross over the top of the upper looper in the final step!!!), then the needles--but you must check your machine's manual for the correct order!
Confirm with your owner's manual that you are threading all the guides. If you miss one of the thread guides, your machine will most likely not operate.
Also, if you break a thread, it is strongly recommended that you remove ALL the threads and start over from the beginning. Sergers can be very finicky!

Bobbin thread breaks
1. There is a right way & wrong way to insert the bobbin in the case --when you insert the bobbin in if it doesn't stitch correctly turn the bobbin over see if that helps or bobbin case is not inserted correctly
2. Lint has collected in the bobbin holder
3. The bobbin is damaged & doesn't turn smoothly
4. Lower thread tension is two tight

When using lighter fabrics it is very important that you use the right thread and needle combo. Start with the correct needle and thread for your application then adjust the tension to match.
Unthread the machine and start from scratch. After rethreading make sure your spool of thread has free play at the reel (not caught on anything) then check the thread tension make sure it's not too tight. Also check the bobbin is in place correctly and the bobbin has been wound correctly not too tight. If it is still happening it may be an adjustment to be done by a tech? Also try different threat, faulty thread can do that as well.
First clean out the bobbin area to be sure there aren't any thread tangles still there.
Open the manual and start from the beginning with threading the machine with the presser foot lever UP - always.
Read the instructions and do not rely solely on the pictures as we all sometimes rush to do (I am just as guilty as the next person to do this).
Make sure the bobbin thread is feeding from the bobbin case in the correct direction.
Hold onto the end of the top thread (after needle has been threaded) and lower then raise the needle to catch and bring up the bobbin thread.
Place the fabric under the presser foot and as you hold onto the ends of the top and bobbin thread, hand walk the first stitch, then use the power pedal.
You need to adjust the tension for your threads. Use scraps to test sew as you adjust the individual threads to bring them into proper balance. Your manual will tell you how to do this.
Check for a thread jam in the bobbincase. Lower looping is most commonly caused by a lack of top tension. Raise the presserfoot and rethread themachine again. Once threaded put down the presserfoot and pull the thread through the needle. if it pulls through easily it is still not threaded correctly. When threaded correctly the needle should bend but not break when you pull the thread through. good luck.
