I successfully transferred a VHS to a DVD on the Magnavox. It plays fine on the Magnavox but I wanted to test it out on my PC. I insert it and it appears that it will play but just hangs up on the opening Windows Media Player screen.
I called Magnavox and they said that since it was finalized it should play on other players but if it doesn't it has to be the fault of the other equipment.
Does anyone here have any idea what the problem could be?
I hate to have to hook up my old DVD player if this is not going to be an option at all.

You must finalize the disc first and then it plays just fine. I do it all the time
Just bought this magnavox and have also successfully copied onto the dvd which polays in what I recorded but not in other units. Shows I have nothing on the DVD. Very Frustrating. This unit sucks big time
