Thanks for your help!!
It would appear this is a belt drive turntable - here's a link to a site where you can order a replacement, although you may be able to find a cheaper one.

You should be more specific, but I will assume you mean coax cables with RCA plugs to connect your TT to your amp.
Walmart or Radio Shack should stock cables that will work.
Search Mouser.com, Digikey.com or Parts Express for bettet quality cables.
Two Speed Direct Drive Fully Automatic Turntable
with linear tracking ... Technics SL-L3 / SLL3 owners
manual, service manuals and schematics are for ...www.vinylengine.com/library/technics/sl-l3.shtml
Here are some in-depth instructions. Turntable-belts generally go from the spindle motor to the underside of the platter. The platter, or table tray, is the metallic structure which supports the record. After taking the platter off the turntable, a pretty self-explanatory process, look for the only large, circular "lip" on the platter's backside and wrap your belt around it. Make sure the band is flat, not twisted. Put the platter back in its original place and, working through one of the holes in the platter, pull the turntable belt to the far side of the spindle motor.
Instructions on installation of your drive belt - this also applies
to other brands as well - however this belt is only for the Technics
models listed above:
Remove the turntable platter off from the turntable
Remove the old/damage belt
Wrap
the new belt underneath the turntable platter - you will see a small
lip on the bottom of the platter. Wrap the belt around this lip.
Put the platter back on the turntable
The turntable platter will have small holes, rotate the platter until you see the motor, and the motor shaft.
Pinch the belt, so that it wraps around the motor shaft
above is a generic video that applies to almost all belt driven turntables including yours that will show how to install the belt and a few other things.
Not sure what your question is? Linear tracking turntables also have an assortment of gears and pulleys which make it function correctly. Sometimes the drive belt will break, other times, the gears will crack. You will have to open her up, and take a look inside to see if there are any components which are damaged. There may also be grease applied to the gears, which might also be preventing it from moving properly.
