Problem opening Access Database-upgrade from Access 2003 to 2007

We recently upgraded our Microsoft Access 2003 to 2007. We have been using the database without problem. But when we open the file using Access 2007, it gives us the following error message:

The form name "products" is misspelled or refer to a form that doesn't exist".
If the invalid form name is a macro, an Action Failed dialog box will display the macro name and the macro's arguments after you click OK. Open the Macro windows, and enter the correct form name.

We are lost as we have no problem using the same database using Access 2003. Can anyone help?

Thanks.

We got the error upon opening of the database.

Do you get the error upon open of the database, or when you make a selection to "products" in the "splash form, and then the error appears?

If the form "products" really exists, then your office 2007 security settings are not allowing to load macros. Try the following settings:-

Office 2007 has some security settings disabled by default to prevent any harm to your system.

go to trustcenter settings(click the office button at the top left of the office 2007 screen then click Access options, then select Trustcenter, then click trustcenter settings.)
In trustcenter settings, select message bar then select "Show the message bar in all applications when content is blocked" radio button.

Then from macro settings ,make sure to select "Disable all macros with notification" . Click ok twice to close the settings windows and try opening the file again.

Good Luck

Try to open the file with shift button pressed. If it opens correctly there must be some macros loading at the startup.

Go to Trustcenter settings, change message bar settings to "show me the message bar...."

and Macro settings to " disable all macros with notifications".

    try again by restarting access.

Try opening the file by press & holding shift key. if it opens successfully then there must some macros being loaded with the file. enable message bar settings to view the notifications from the trustcenter settings and enable "Disable macros with notifications" from macro settings.

when u open the file again you will find a message bar at the top that some content has been blocked, if you allow it, it should open as desired.

    Best of Luck

You can use Recovery Toolbox for Access developed for recovering data from corrupted Microsoft Access databases. The MS Access recovery tool is capable of repairing MDB and ACCDB database files.

I want to install microsoft word program

In order to install the Microsoft Word program, you will have needed to purchase the Microsoft Office Suite. The Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Upgrade is just the operating system's upgrade. The Microsoft Office Suite contains Word, Outlook, Excel, Onenote, Powerpoint and a few other database softwares. You can purchase Microsoft Office from Amazon (the cheapest price I've found) for $119. The URL is:

Same as above really

Hi,
I have fixed my problem. I realised that the Microsoft Access Database DSN did not include the *.accdb driver. I deleted the existing DSN and created a new one. This allowed me to select the ODBC driver that worked for both file types.

I cameto realise that I was only having this problem on machines that have been upgraded to excel 2007 and not on machines with full virgin installations. On install both try to create the appropriate DSN but one with the same name already exists on the machines being upgraded and the creation fails.

I hope this helps others.

Fault code 010-333 xerox 7132

Most likely you will have to have the fuser replaced. That is an overheat problem. You may just have a piece of paper wrapped in the fuser shutting it down. You can open the left hand drawyer adn remove the fuser , check inside it and put it back in and see if that clears.
But, more than likely you will have to put in a new fuser.

Upgrading from 2003 access database to 2007

I would leave your database as Access 2003. the 2007 version has many bugs and will give you many more problems than its worth. Access 2003 is very stable, you should be able to keep it at that for many years.
