is there a coin holder in front of the changer? if so, there may be a coin lodged inside the changer preventing the carrier mechanism from moving. look on the bottom of the changer to see if a coin might be stuck.
It won't work if the radio doesn't have a cd changer input. The radio/receiver has to have been designed/programmed to interface with the changer since that is what the changer is controlled through.
unplug the power to the cd player for about 10 minutes or so. usually that reqiures unhooking the car battery. if that radio is of the anti-theft variety make sure you know the code and how to enter it before you remove power
why not put a belson car radio that uses a sd chip card and a usb connection ,a 1gb sd card is about 30 cds so why mess about with the cd changer ,old technology ,would you put an 8track in it ?? or a mobile vinyl 45 record player
