I have a smooth top Frigidaire stove/oven that is only about 5 yrs old. The bottom oven element went out about 2 months ago and we replaced it. Everything was fine until about 3 weeks ago and then both elements (bake and broil) went out. We were told it was the temperature control sensor and we replaced that. Still nothing, so we were told it was the control board but before spending that much money, I would like to know if there are any other options I should try. The stovetop works fine, the digital part of the control boeard is fine and when you turn the oven on, it clicks, etc like it is working but the elements remain cold. Any suggestions on parts? Model #FEF336ECE
Hello angeleyez82 - The EOC (electronic oven control/control board) basically sends power to both the broil and bake elements. As long as the power supply to the range (240VAC) and wiring between the elements is correct, then typically only the element(s) or EOC could prevent the unit from heating. I hope this information helps to some degree.

I replaced the relay board for the top oven (the one with the transformer) and it works properly now. My issue was only for the top oven so you probably have to replace both relay boards since both ovens have only the top element working.
318022002 is the part number for the relay board with transformer
318022001 is the part number for the relay board without transformer
Yes the one without the transformer is more expensive for some reason.
The boards are on the top of the oven, I was able to pull out the oven about 75% of the way out of the cabinet and easily get to the boards. Just unplugged the connections and plugged them into the new board.
To get the oven out there are two small screws that go into brackets inside the top oven door. Highly recommend taking the doors off the oven to pull it out, much easier to work with.
NOTE: On my old board I noticed one solder joint that was burned out and I since I already had the new board I just replaced but you might want to check that first and see if just a solder fix gets you working again before you spend $$ on a new board.

The clock control has a relay that turns on the element. It could be failed and would require a new clock control.

look for a shorted bake element .. you should be able to see where it poped. ( some times ) if you have ohm meter you can ck for an open element . **** //

We had the same thing happen and now they came and said it was the clock that needs to be replaced. They said that controls the oven. Even though clock is on and working the function for turning on the oven is not

The problem is the Bake heating element. This is easy to check and usually inexpensive. There is a video at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html that will walk you thru testing and replacing. It may be a different model but the testing and replacement will be the same. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. All parts come with installation instructions. Not all models are available.
Testimonial: "Thank you so much. I thought when the oven was on bake that both top and bottom elements worked. I will now go check my bake element."
