Question about Panasonic KX TG4031 Cordless Phone
Although I could hear a faint dial tone when I pressed "talk" on all four of my handsets, I couldn't talk or hear over them. Figuring the problem was with the base, I bought a new base only from an online auction. When I tried to register the units to the new base, they all read "BASE NO POWER" After some time with trying to overcome this problem (the new base had power, the old base did not), I tried to deregister the units from the old base. They said "deregistered" and then I got this message "Press Locator on base 5 sec put on charger" When I did that, it displayed "registering" as the base beeped for number of seconds, and then it returned to the previous message. I Cannot get past that point. Can you help?
To deregister a handset: On the handset press menu, then #130
To register a handset: On the handset press menu, then #131, then on the base unit press the locator and hold for 5 seconds.if this doesn't work, the handset and new base probably not compatible.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

You could try to clear all the memory from the base unit and start again!!!
Instructions to clear phone (Uniden 8855).
1. Go to your base unit.
2. Put your flip phone in the cradle.
3. Press down and hold down (AT ALL TIMES) the end (find hs) button.
4. Whilst holding down this button, take the power plug out of the wall.
5. Whilst still holding down the end (find hs) button, plug the power back in.
6. When you hear a beep from the base unit system.
7. Let go of the end (find hs) button.
8. Your phone memory should be cleared now and you are ready to repeat the process of registering your base and additional handsets.

If you are still looking for an answer on dereg of a handset, the manual says Menu - 0-0-2 then 3-3-5-OK then select the handset you want to cancel/deregister

Here is the procedure as given to me by Panasonic Tech Support.
To DEREGISTER, using the handset you want to register, push MENU.....002.......335...and hit ok.
Then press the handset number you want to deregister (1 through 4). Don't worry if the handset says there is no link to base. This is because you just unregistered it so there will be no link.
To REGISTER, press and hold the locator button on the base unit until the green LED starts blinking. Then take the handset unit and press MENU.......001 and hit ok. Your unit should now be registered.

Tips for a great answer:
Registering a Handset
If you see a "not registered" message on a handset, you must register it to a base before using it.
1. On the base, open the menu and select "Register Handset"
2. On the handset, press and hold POUND (#) until the handset display says "Handset Registering" (about 2 seconds).
3. Wait until the handset display says "Registration Complete" (about 30 seconds), then pick up the handset and press eND/CleaR.
# If you don't hear a dial tone or the display says "Registration Failed" charge the battery completely, then try again.
