    watching tv and the tv went black tried to turn back on and the red light in front is flashing lamp,can this be fixed

    While watching tv it went black and lost sound. Lamp light now flashing and nothing else happens. Sony 42 inch Vega

Lamp blew, picture went then sound also. Replaced lamp, now will not turn on. Red light flashing on front switch panel.
If the red light flashing 3 times the pause and again flashing 3 times, check and make sure lamp cover is installed correctly back on tv.

I have a Sony tv KDF50WE655, the other day while I was watching tv, heard a noise and the tv went off, displying the lamp red light..I ordered and replaced the lamp. I made sure the lamp is ok and the door...
Please make sure lamp cover is fixed properly in its position after lamp replacement as it has to press a safety switch located nearby lamp cover.
3 times red blink problem is related with that lamp cover safety switch only.

Hi,
3 times red light flashing indicates that lamp cover has not been fixed correctly in tv after lamp replacement. Please make sure lamp cover is fixed securely after lamp replacement.

The fan dont turn on when i turn on the tv and the red light is flashing
Hi,
Red light flashing on tv indicates that tv got some problem and shifted to protection mode to avoid further damage.
If Lamp light is flashing on tv then check lamp that would be dead or broke, replace lamp to solve tv problem.
If standby red light is flashing on tv then let me know how many times it is flashing after 3 seconds long pause to provide you helpful info.

Ur tv have a Ballast board that help to ignite the lamp.U hear alot of clickings,that mean the ballast board is dead,not doing it job.Tries websites like Partstore.com,Ebay.com to buy a new Ballast board for the replacement.

I have a Mitsubishi WD-52327. The TV turns on and stays on for 30 sec to 3 minutes. Then the TV shuts off, no picture, no audio and status indicator flashes red 3 short times and then one long red flash...

Status indicator flashes 3 short times, then one long red flash
Once the status light blinks 3 times, this is an indication that there's a problem with the lamp. The lamp may need a replacement.

If you replace the lamp, but get the same problem, check the inverter board.

If you're not sure where the inverter board is, then you may need to contact a pro for your safety.

Red light blinking 3 times on Sony xl2400 lamp replacement
I solved this problem myself. You have to continue working with the housing until the connections meet just perfect. It was extremely frustrating but in the end I got it to work.
