Hi everybody Hi have buy used Clarion NZ500 and I had trouble with screen... Radio works, CD works DVD works. Just cannot get the NAV display or any of the touch menus to work. Only brightness option appaers on screen and nothing else other :( I have done the remove battery for five min and that didn't help, try the button reseat didn't work neither Thanks for help
Clarion ebrake safety bypass without using toggle switch
Clarion has a brake safety wire that has to switch from open to a ground every time you turn on the unit so therefore you cannot just ground the brake wire it has to switch to ground every time you turn on the radio

simple thats because you must have forgot to plug the small adapter in the back of the deck that has a yellow and black wire coming from it. if you have then one of those two wires are not hooked up to the right place. and if that fails then either u have a bad connection somewhere in ur car wire or in the inside of ur deck. i had the same problem when i hooked up mine i just forgot to hook up that adapter because its really small

Check to see if the orange or orange/white wire going into the Clarion is connected or not. Regardless if it is or not make sure the connection or non-connection is insulated properly.

it sounds like you have hooked the power wires up wrong try trace back your wires with this diagram
