My n70 cannot detect my memory card. plz help

hi! nothing to worry! here are the simple steps to solve ur problems!
there are three reasons and solutions in bracket for non detecting of memory card!
1. memory card is password protected or locked by using some softwares.( unlock ur memory card by removing password for nokia go to menu->tools->memory ->option then remove password)

2.memory card is corrupted.this is due to wrong file arrangement and mainly due to virus.( then u need a card reader and a pc/laptop insert the card and clean with antivirus backup all data and insert into the phone then again format with ur phone option then copy all ur backup items)

3.card expires due to it's been used beyond its life time!( there is a chance take ur memory card and clean that pins that may contains dirt clean with soft process and use)

follow these steps definitely u find the solutions! that's it! Rate or comment me if u like my solution.

I will put memory card in my mobile no memory card inserted

First of all, make sure that you're inserting the approved type of memory card.
According to nokia company, nokia N70 supports for RS-DV-MMC cards.

If you're using the correct card, make sure the card is clean enough. You can clean the card by using a soft dry cloath like cotton cloth-DO NOT USE ANY LIQUID-.
After doing so,re-insert the card and check.

If the above step doesn't helps, insert the cleaned memory card into a card reader and check whether the computer can open the card.If it can, backup all the data on the memory card and format the card. Then insert the card into the phone and do a format to the card againg via phone. After that you can restore the data back to the memory card.

If all the above methods didn't work, then may be your memory card is burned out..

This is the url you want to visit in-order to update your software for your Nokia N70. I think your device just needs basic software maintenance to start working properly again. Follow the guidelines at the bottom.

Connect your phone to the PC.

Backup your personal data to your memory card or your PC using Nokia PC suite.

Start the Nokia Software Updater and follow the prompts. (Green icon that entitles "Download Nokia Software Update")

Restore your personal data to your phone.

N70 hanging

i think the software of your phone has got corrupted due to some virus. it would be best to reinstall the softwareon your phone.

for this you would need a few things handy before you start off. first move all your data like pictures and songs from the phone memory to the memory card. now you would need to have nokia pc suite installed on your pc and you would need a data cable compatible with your phone. keep your phone in general profile and make sure the battery is full. connect the phone to the computer. the computer would recognise and install the usb drivers for the phone. now open nokia pc suite and configure the phone. next click on backup phone data on the nokia pc suite main screen. now it would backup all your data from the phone like contacts, sms, settings etc onto your computer. next click on software update. the suite would search for the software (note: you need to be connected to the internet) and would turn up with the software for your phone. now the installation would proceed. once it is done, again click on backup and restore the data from pc to phone. the reformat is done!

after this i would advice you to be careful while you recieve data over bluetooth or data cable. accept data only from reliale sources

Nokia N70 wont acknowledge memory card?

Note: This device uses a Reduced Size Dual Voltage
(1.8/3V) MultiMediaCard (RS-MMC). To ensure
interoperability, use only dual voltage RS-MMCs. Check
the compatibility of an RS-MMC with its manufacturer or
provider.
Use only compatible Reduced Size MultiMediaCards
(RS-MMC) with this device. Other memory cards, such as
Secure Digital (SD) cards, do not fit in the memory card

incompatible memory card may damage the memory card
as well as the device, and data stored on the incompatible
card may be corrupted.

You cannot use the memory
card if the door of the
memory card slot is open.

Format a memory card
When a memory card is reformatted, all data on the card
is permanently lost.
Some memory cards are supplied preformatted and others
require formatting. Consult your retailer to find out if you
must format the memory card before you can use it.
To format a memory card, select Options > Format mem.
card
. Select Yes to confirm. When formatting is complete,
enter a name for the memory card, and select OK.
